I really think it is dumb for him to be calling some of the best players in the League losers. Just because you haven't won a title doesn't make you a loser in any sort. I really think Marbury should just shut his mouth, starting now. His comment about him being the best point guard and saying it's raining, that is just pure cockiness.
I agree with you there, just because you dont have a ring dosent make you a looser. Heck in that case John Stockton is a looser and hes one of the best PGs to ever play the game. I mean I like Marbury but right here is where he needs to keep his mouth shut.
That is just B.S. J-Kidd is defeitly a winner. So is KG. He has taken the T-Wolves so far and if tehy didn't pick him, they probablu would be like the Nuggets or Cavs before getting Melo and LBJ
Marbury is such a Punk @** B****, why is he starting all the crap like a friggin 12 yr old? At least Kidd mad it to the finals, has Marbury ever even been 2-3 rounds from the Championship series?
Marbury is sad. Anybody else notice that whenever he gets traded, the team he gets traded from ends up better? He's like the A-Rod of the NBA. It's obvious he's just spouting off at the mouth because he was bothered about the comparisons with Kidd. Everybody was bringing up how much better the Nets got after the Kidd/Marbury trade went down. The situation led everyone to believe that the only difference between the success one year, and the failure the year before, was a matter of Kidd instead of Marbury.

i think marbury is just jealous of what kidd has accomplished.everybody talks about kidd more than marbury. marbury just wants to be the center of the talk but with all his comments, negative things will be said about him rather than positive
to be fair, kidd made it to the finals when the east was really weak. i see where marbury is going with his absolute analogy, of winners and losers. thats why i and many others think duncan is a better player than kg because he has been a consistent winner.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Stephon Marbury:</div><div class="quote_post"> "I know I'm the best point guard in the NBA," said Marbury, whose Knicks play the Nets at the Garden tonight. "I don't need nobody else to tell me that."</div> Maybe he doesn't have anyone to tell him that he's crazy. Only thing he would own Kidd with is his tattoes.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting deception:</div><div class="quote_post">to be fair, kidd made it to the finals when the east was really weak. </div> still more then marbury has ever done.
i have three problems with J.Kidd : (1) he's a coach killer (byron scott) (2) he can't make a jumpshot on a consistent basis (3) and i can't stand him as a dude
Marbury > Kidd? Wow. I don't have much to say about that...I think explaining why Kidd could easily put Marbury in his place is actually useless, because if you watch Kidd, you know why. Marbury isn't better than Kidd. He isn't better than Nash. This is a joke.
Marbury is a loser so he feels opening his mouth will make him feel better and get some attention with the NY media. At least, Stephon admits that he is a loser too. 44thrilla: Good analogy comparing Selfish Mebury to Pay-Rod in terms of how their former teams are better when they both leave.
someone repost the article (Im sorry, 2-3 paragraphs of the article ) so i can see the actual quotes. It's kind of funny Marbury calling guys losers coz they havent won titles. How many rings do YOU have Marbury?? wow. that many??? you're a reallllllllllll winner. JKidd is twice the point guard Marbury is. and twice the man too
hahahaha Wow, I would never imagine a person to have the courage to say great players like KG or Kidd or Barkley are "losers". He just needs to shut his mouth. I believe he probably tried to make up for the things he said yesterday but just made it worse.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> "I've always been 'team(-oriented),'" Marbury said. "I've just got players (now) that can finish -- it's not just myself making plays. It's totally different when Jason was playing with (ex-Net) Kenyon Martin, as opposed to the guys that he's playing with now. It makes the game totally different. You can't be as effective. Myself, with me being in the situation that I'm in right now, that Isiah has put me in, where he's (put) guys around me that can really play." Then Marbury was asked if Kidd has gotten too much credit over the years. "He's just like me," Marbury said of Kidd. "He's a loser. Neither one of us won the championship. He won a (few) playoff series. A playoff series is not a championship. "Tim Duncan is a winner. Kevin Garnett is a loser, just like me. Chris Webber is a loser, like me. Charles Barkley is a loser, just like me. Kenny Smith is a winner, you know what I'm saying? Isiah Thomas is a winner. Magic Johnson, Jordan, Bird. Them guys are winners." </div>Star-Ledger Article
those are some pretty harsh words starbury used...i think that its alright that starbury knows tospeak of his own mind but naming people and calling them losers and winners....thats some pretty f'd up sh*t....i think that some of the people, he mentioned as losers, do have a chance in the future in winning an NBA title...yadidamean
