Bobby Frasor will be lucky to be our 4th best player. Since the defections were immenent, Quentin Thomas has been in the gym relentlessly, as has been Rayshawn Terry, who the coaching staff thinks very highly of. David Noel is an excellent defender, and Tyler Hansburough and Danny Green will have no problem stepping into the starting line up day one. The only thing hurting here is our depth. Do you all recall how everyone looked at Kansas after they lost Paul Pierce, Raef Lafrenz and Billy Thomas all in the same year, only to come back even stronger. Roy Williams knows how to coach, and his system allows anyone to step in and contribute. There is also another recruit coming in who did not make the McDonalds squad who is expected to play right away and do some things, Marcus Ginyard, a 6-4 gunner who brings a lot or athleticism to the wing. I honetly wish we had more frontcourt depth, cuz Hansborough is going to have top shoulder a ton, but I think he's gonna be the one guy who can do so.
Just as a bonus, not to mention we've offered 12 players scholorships in the class of '06, all of whom are in the blu chip top 100. 11 in the top 35. 4 of which are 6-8 or taller, aswell as a nice trio of Kevin Durant of Oak Hill, Branden Wright of Brentwood Academy in Nashville, and Wayne Ellington of Episcipol Academy, all expected to sign. We may not defend out title next year (I wont hold my breathe) however, after that, everyone else in the country, be scared, BE VERY SCARED!

I would never expect it, but do you all remember the Fab Five? Never discount anything until the season is underway. Point blank, no doubt, TH is going to be a stud. He was gettin extreme NBA tastes this last season. I would never expect anything from a young group like this, but honestly, with this team and coach Roy, anything less than in the field of 65 is a disappointment. Less we forget too, other than Duke, and incoming BC, and perhaps Miami, every other ACC team was shook to the core. Wake is crying right now, Maryland, well, look at last year, NC State lost Hodge, it's heart and sole, and Georgia Tech was gutted. So, it remains to be seen!

There's a kid named Uche Echefu that is going to be a dandy college player that you all have a great chance at landing with Kentucky getting a committment from Rekalim Sims. His final choices were Kentucky and UNC, so you all should get a committment from him pretty soon. PG - Q. Thomas SG - M. Ginyard SF - D. Green PF - U. Ecefu C - T. Hansborough Should look something similar to that.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting kingrex:</div><div class="quote_post">Those are the surprising exceptions I mentioned. Now, here are some examples of those who defected to the NBA before their Sr. year after they won the championship: 2004 - Ben Gordon, UCONN 2003 - Carmelo Anthony, Syracuse 2002 - Chris Wilcox, Maryland 2001 - no Dukies defected this year, due to coach K; but Williams, Boozer & Dunleavey did leave before graduating the following year. </div> So Gordon, Anthony, and Wilcox left and that automatically erases decades of underclassmen staying after winning a championship? Anthony would have left whether he wont a championship or not, and the same could be said for Ben Gordon. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Just as a bonus, not to mention we've offered 12 players scholorships in the class of '06, all of whom are in the blu chip top 100. 11 in the top 35. 4 of which are 6-8 or taller, aswell as a nice trio of Kevin Durant of Oak Hill, Branden Wright of Brentwood Academy in Nashville, and Wayne Ellington of Episcipol Academy, all expected to sign. You'll be lucky to get one of the three. Wright hasn't made a decision yet between Duke, Kentucky, or North Carolina, but why would he chose North Carolina with Hansbrough there and with their failures that are sure to be on the way next year? Nobody wants to play for a loser, especially a loser whose best player plays their position. Durant hasn't made a decision either and is looking at Connecticut, Duke, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Texas, and Wake Forest. The same can be said about Ellington, who is considering about 10-15 other schools that are on the same elite level as UNC. The last I heard, he's really high on Villanova. Either way, when Michigan State gets Oden, it won't matter what your class is like. We'll have the title wrapped up.
Well for starters. from what I've understood in the time spent in Chapel Hill a couple weeks ago, Durant and Ellington were VERY much ready to sign during the early signing period, and all but gave a verbal upon their visit to campus. And as far as Wright, him and Hansborough are interchangablt at the 4 and 5, so no, they would not play the same position. I did however also forget we pretty much had Uche locked for this year aswell. As far as Oden going to Michigan St. hmmmmm, talk about news! Hadnt heard they made his final list let alone that he signed a LOI. That Final Four bashing must have really hurt your pride. But, even if Oden signed, he is no Shaq, and even SHaq couldnt win a title in college, and less we forget, Mich. St. did lose damn near everybody this year aswell except for Ager and Davis. They will be good, but gone when Oden arrives in '06.

Ah yes, honestly how Shannon Brown slipped my mind I dont know, Drew Neitzel on the other hand, ehhhhh, I dont know about him just yet. Got invaluable experience this season, but I have strong doubts about him being able to carry a program like MSU to greatness or a title.
