would we have the financial resources to sign rasheed wallace? knowing that boozer is likely to want a bigger deal, and we must be prepared to provide lebron with the maximum down the road?? rasheed is likely to want a large large LARGE pay check

If Rasheed is indeed interested in playing here, we would have to let EWill walk.

Letting Eric Williams go for Sheed would have been a really bad move on the part of the cavs

Say what? care to explain that very odd statement? Sheed's staying in Detroit or going to New York though.

Karma I know you want Buckets (Sjax) in Cleveland and to be honest I hope that happens, just as long he gets paid, I'm sure he would be interested. He has a championship ring, the fame of hitting big shots on the big stage so playing with Lebron would certainly be something he would want.

So you are basically saying you would rather have Eric Williams than Rasheed Wallace?

eric has been a crucial addition to this club, but to compare his value to rasheed wallace's is unfair to either player. id love to see rasheed in cleveland solely for his defensive skills, his offense would be a rather huge bonus as well. we MUST bring in a shooter this off season. rasheed has nice 3 pt touch, but thats not his first scoring option. if i had the choice between stephon jackson and rasheed wallace, taking the personality of this basketball team and the direction its headed in into account, id take rasheed. it seems to be pointless however, as he has his heart set on playing with the knicks. i have a feelin a cavs/knicks rivalry should be brewing as these 2 teams appear to have bright futures as far as talent goes.

Eric Williams is not only a good player but a good person as well. It is hard to find players who these two things now in the league. I like Eric better than Rasheed because Eric has a great locker room presense and keeps many players on the team grounded. Having Rasheed may or may not have had a negative impact on LeBron. Eric Williams is the best thing for LeBron since Nike and Silas. He has taught LeBron how to better defense and has had a great affect on him. Rasheed on the other hand may have the "Ricky Davis" affect on the team and LeBron. Thats just what I think.

Mash won't be a good fit for the Cavs. He plays the post too much and he'll clog it up since Z loves posting up. Add to that Boozer's developing post game and you have one hell of a clogged post.

Eric Williams to me is being let go after this season. I do not want to overpay a +32 year old who is limited. I know what he brings to the floor and off the court, but we dont need another Ollie or Newble deal. We need an athletic guy on the wing who can knock down that big shot from range. Hense my SJax ramblings.

As for Wallace, I'd take him in a heart beat. The reality is though, he will be elsewhere!

Williams had a good chance of coming back up until about the last month and a half. He's really gone south and has struggled severely at the offensive end. He may be a great emotional leader and an example to young players, but those qualities don't put points on the scoreboards, and that is what the Cavs need right now.

I think Williams will probably be back and that the Cavs want him back. I can't see him wanting a huge contract and hopefully the Cavs have learned their lesson about overpaying for role players. Williams realizes he is a backup at this point and he should want to stay here with a team on the rise.

Rasheed isn't coming here and I'm not sure if it would be the right move to bring him in. The guy has talent but what has he ever really done for the teams he's been on? It looks good in Detroit now but he helped make a mess in both Washington and Portland and neither team was ever a legitimate contender. He's too much of a headcase for me and the Cavs don't need that type of distraction with where they are now as a team.
Rasheed will most likely be in NY anyway with Detroit still a somewhat of a possibility.
