I went to a Braves game in Atlanta in the mid 60s. I was wearing my OSU (Oregon State University) T-Shirt. The ticket sales lady said "Oh, OSU, huh. Is that Ohio State?" I said "No" and she replied "Oh, Oklahoma State" I said "No, not Oklahoma State" She then said "Well then, who?" Drove me nuts.

The game? It was against the Dodgers, my favorite team starting with Brooklynn, with Sandy Koufax pitching. So, I've seen the great Koufax pitch.

 

Not big at all. If you want to see big boars go to Alaska.

 

...we've killed a couple around here that were around 600 pounds but as far as I can tell, the biggest on record was killed next door in Alabama by an 11 year old boy...1050 pounds.

...I'm trying to remember the name of the pitching who turned Koufax around...when Sandy first came up he was very wild a simply through as hard as he could...the pitching coach explained to Koufax to turn it down a notch...and the rest is history.

Never been there. When my health was still good, my brother-in-law was moving from Alaska to Washington State. He had to get a moving company to move all his stuff. I told my wife that we should drive up there, rent a U-Haul truck tow our car behind and move his stuff ourselves. She vetoed that plan. I regret that to this day probably a quarter century later.

No, I've never been to Alaska. Oops, that was a minor untruth. One time when my wife and I were returning from Korea, we stopped in Anchorage for the plane to get a new crew since there was an FAA rule on how many hours a crew could fly and we had spent some time in Korea getting an indicator light bulb replaced and refueling. Never left the plane. I can say the same about my trip to Japan on my way to Vietnam and nearly the same when we stopped in Guam on my way home from Vietnam when we spend a couple hours in the airport.

 

To the victims and their families my heartfelt sympathies...this kid should have never been able to legally purchase two handguns and ammo given his history of bad behavior and mental illness
