It's time for more than thoughts and prayers. It's time for action.
Watch this father's torturous cry about the loss of his son in the recent shooting.

I'm not saying that some sort of gun control would have helped here, I am saying that some sort of gun control would help some other family someplace else not have to go through this.

I want guns for my zombie next door neighbors. They're oh so clever, acting just like normal people.

How about wife beaters and others involved in violent crimes and those guilty of animal cruelty? Should they be allowed to own guns? Should they be allowed to buy guns at gun shows or without a background check?

Im not opposed to gun control that address's mentally ill, automatic weapons and extended clips. I favor gun registration.
Im also for more people owning and training for gun use, within the law. My daughters just finished their fire arm classes/training, and are getting concealed carry permits.

    Nope.

Gun ownership should be restricted 90%. Only the select few should own a gun.

Up the penalties for crimes if people want to be safe. People who use illegal guns and someone dies should be given an automatic death penalty.

Mass shooters should be executed publically by firing squad, mental illness or not.

That would probably increase the number of mass shootings.

Studies have shown that the death penalty has no effect on dissuading people from killing with firearms. There are precious few firearm murderers who expect to be caught. Then there's the moral issue of putting someone to death whom you have safely separated from society where they could harm someone else. I'm against killing just for the sake of killing as some sort of retroactive punishment that does no good and costs more than keeping the perp behind bars for life.

Hitler approved the murder of the mentally ill. I'm against that.
How about the death penalty for a kid 14 years old who murders another kid with a firearm?

Punish mass shooters quickly and with malice. If they die, reveal their health records for the greater good.

Patterns of mental health issues. I have postulated many of these shooters have autism in some form. Need to study it further to prevent in the future.

If they have a provable mental illness then they shouldn't have been executed.

You keep saying we need more mental health care but then you want to kill them.

You can't have it both ways.

    Sure we can.

Why cant we execute mentally challenged persons if they kill people? It should not be a defense.

This is probably the most ridiculous and most insensitive shit I have ever seen. So the whole exception is if the mentally ill don’t kill people, then they can live, however if they do that then hey just kill them too. Look, I think it’s a very very terrible act, but there is a reason a lot of these people kill themselves after they kill others. They are fucked. Look at this guy. His roommate said some shit along the lines of him not being surprised if he could end up a shooter. The signs were there. Unfortunately we don’t teach how to read them in America. Mental illness is still very much something a lot of people are ashamed of having in this country. It’s not accepted. Instead it’s dealt with by saying oh yeah that person is crazy and that’s it. Shits so dismissive.
