Matthews is a better fit in the starting lineup with a Redick-type off the bench being the one who has a chance at 6th man of the year for us.
The problem isn't Matthews, it's Matthew & Batum in the same lineup. I'd rather look to dump Batum and see if we could get a better scoring swing man at the SF spot.
I know you and I talked about this today, as we held hands and walked the beaches of Lincoln City and Newport. Since that time, though, I'm now kind of open to the idea of, either, moving Batum to SG, or, perhaps, even trading him. Nonetheless, it's all gonna be interesting as it plays itself out. Here's where Olshey earns his long green.
Matthews is the only Blazer who would do just as well as here, if he were traded to a championship team. He gives consistent effort, unlike our starting forwards. He has great size for his position, and looks like a football player.
