So Dame hasn’t been a durable player? And you also think a sprained ankle by Dame is gonna put the Blazers in the lottery?
I disagree. Blazers are deeper than that.

I didn't mean that Dame wasn't durable, just Curry...sorry for the confusion

and a sprained ankle that leaves Curry out a half dozen games isn't going to affect the Warriors enough to change playoff to lottery, any more than it would for Portland. A long term injury to either player would certainly impact their teams; and Dame is Portland's only PG so I strongly disagree with the notion that Portland would be fine losing Dame because of depth...depth that hasn't even been established yet

you know, just saying that I think the Warriors might be better this season than many are crediting isn't a criticism of Portland. You get that don't you?

yeah I know...that's why I mentioned him twice

Your post didn't bash CJ for once, and yet your hatred of him still rears its head unintentionally. The Blazers have proven to be a strong enough team to remain in playoff contention when CJ has to fill in for Dame. So, that point of yours was kind of a fail.

looking over the record, over the last 4 seasons when Dame has missed games due to injury the Blazers are 11-10. Barely above .500. I guess that's "in playoff contention", but that winning % would have been lottery teams the last 2 seasons.

and let's at least not try and pretend Portland would win a playoff series without Dame

What it means is that the team can stay afloat during a Dame injury. If Dame were to miss a whole season, we don't make the playoffs. But if he misses a month, we can hang even until he gets back.

Did you bother to look at their winning percentage with Dame? Hint: It's not a whole lot higher.

My guess is China weighed in with what they want and Kerr complied.
