    Connor McDavid had a goal and an assist, Leon Draisaitlhad three assists and the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-1 on Thursday night.

    Kyle Brodziak, Zack Kassian and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins also scored for Edmonton, which ended a two-game skid.

    David Savard had the only goal for the Blue Jackets, who have lost three in a row.

    Columbus' loss coupled with Montreal's 4-0 shutout of the New York Islandersearlier in the night put the Canadiens into the Eastern Conference's second wild-card spot, one point ahead of the Blue Jackets.
