If this thread is indicative of how excited fans are about this season, I would say not a lot of excitement about this year.

It's all good, to each their own, I'm a fan and excited to see a much different style of basketball this yr, was sick of the nate style of play. We are young, likely won't make the playoffs, but if these young guys play hard and are fun to watch I will be a hell of a lot happier than last yr which was a disaster IMO.

Yep, I agree that last year was a disaster. I can't remember a session I stopped watching games, but that happen to me last year. This year will be fun to see who is for real and who isn't with the rookies and with Batum and his new expectations given his large contract. New coach, new players, I'm sure there is some excitement . . . but doesn't quite amount to as much excitement when the team is a playoff team on still on the rise. Either way, it's all good.

I just got done listening to the interviews that they re-played on court-side. Nice to have at least one draft pick stick around enough years so we can watch him development through the years , on and off the court. LA is obviously more mature as the years have passed and that comes through during the interview.

Lillard on the other hand already sounds like a relaxed, confident Vet during his first media day.

The Hickson and Batum interviews were good as well. I know that attitude alone does not win games, but it is essential to have character when things go bad. Last year's team had bad charater issues in key positions. This year there is no doubt who your leaders on the court ....Wes, Nic, LA, and Lillard. The bench also has a couple of guys who can lead in Jefferies and Price.

Good quality guys on this team. I wish they had a little more talent, but I think they will battle hard all season.

...I can't wait to watch all of the youngsters play -- this season should provide a much more exciting brand of basketball!

...and FWIW, the Panamera is one of the nicest cars I've had the pleasure of driving in, no other high-end luxury vehicle in its class offers this type performance!

This board will be more lively come regular season. Its always dead in the summer and livens up during the regular season. With us sucking this year, it just gives us more to speculate and argue about :)

I love the Blazers and I love the direction they're going. It's just that the Beavs are controlling my emotions right now.

A pictureless Media Day thread. I can't wait for the thrilling Wells Fargo game thread.

Listening to courtside right now. I don't like this show as much as I used to. Fewer sarcastic comments, and all the hosts seem guarded. Noticeable change ever since they started broadcasting it on TV. And the player interviews are even more fluffy than before, if that's possible.

So, no medical retirements or season-ending injuries announced yesterday?

Pretty successful media day, I'd say.

Is that George Karls son? Holy shit, he's ugly.

and they gave him brandons #? That's a slight dig at Brandon, imho. And good for them.

It's not a dig, IMO. While someday Brandon's jersey might be retired ( a huge mistake IMO) it's just a number right now
