I wasnt able to stay nearly as long as I wanted but thanks to Sly my wife is in a great mood tonight! Lol
Sitting under a palm sipping on a mai tai. Looks like the chat & chew went well, I hope to attend the next one if at all possible! Think I'll snorkel a bit....aloha & go Tulsi!
Here's a pano pic that did a nice squish job on Travis' head. Included in the picture from left to right: @THE HCP @UncleCliffy'sDaddy @Charcoal Filtered @HailBlazers @Eastoff @hoopsjock @LoveMyBlazers @PDXFonz @Lanny @Hobbesarable @Travis Demers @SlyPokerDog Thanks for giving out the Blazer swag @Travis Demers. The hat and gloves will come in handy this time of year. I've met most of this group at past events. There's a few in the picture that I didn't get a chance to meet. Next event we need name tags that include our S2 Profile Names! (42N8Bounce = "Fortunate Bounce")
Ditto on all of the above, except the mai tai. Drive out to Hana. Maybe a mai tai might have straightened a few curves out...nah.
Where he was smart was bringing his wife and kid. Even @THE HCP is gonna behave himself in that situation......
Who's that manly looking fellow in the background wearing the red hat and red shirt? Sort of a Greek god, I'd say.
Lanny i will make an concerted effort to meet you. Sorry this one didn't work out. Kids of a tenant started a fire in the back yard and it caused a few problems. Nobody hurt but they lucked out. I'll see about buying a ticket close to where you sit at a game and come see you.
Great time! It was good to see a few familiar faces and be introduced to a few new ones. As I was leaving last night, someone asked me to please write out the story behind "Show Me Your Blazers".....here it is..... Back in the early 90's, the voice of the Chargers, Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton, would yell out, "Show Me Your Lightning Bolt!" (I was living in Southern California at that time and became very familiar with the phrase). At the same time, there was a young sports talk radio host in San Diego by the name of Jim Rome. Rome "stole" the phrase and in fun would say things like "Show Me Your Beach Towel!" or "Show Me Your Steak Dinner!", using a gravelly-voice imitation of Hamilton. When Rome's show went national, he continued to use the phrase "Show Me Your ____________" without really explaining where it came from. Chad Doing used to call in to Rome's show and at some point began to use the phrase himself, adding Blazers to the end. The gravelly voice is Chad's imitation of Jim Rome imitating Lee Hamilton.
