She's home! She's really cute. She's really really shy. She has bite scars on her ears, face, and bottom, some are very recent. Makes me sad. One of the workers at the animal shelter says her scars are consistent with someone using her as a bait dog.
Show her lots of love! And if you find the original owner give us the address so i can use my AR-15 as God intended
You should call her red sometimes just because. #rubyred Blazer red has now become "ruby red" for me.
Ruby finally barked. Have had her 4 days and this is the first time she barked. And it was to save us from a home invasion. (okay, it was a squirrel on the fence but in dog world that's pretty much the same thing.)
I got this girl (Leavitt Bulldog) 6 months ago when I retired. Squirrels are definitely the devil in furry tailed rat form (as far as she's concerned).
Here are some pictures of her scars. They're all over but you can really see them on her face. One ear is torn. She has a bite mark around one eye. It's a miracle she didn't lose it. Multiple bites all over her face, ears, bottom, body. It's a miricle that she survived wherever she was at. She's very very skinny. You can see every rib and hip bone. But we've already put 3lbs on her.
I may be talking out my arse (aka channeling HCP) but I remember a show saying not to let dogs put on too much weight too fast.....
