I know its annoying, but honestly I post on here sometimes to “vent” my frustrations, its healthy, and I really try not to say things that are personal attacks, even on the Players / Coaches.
I'm still pissed. The Blazers should be up 3-1 right now playing tonight for a chance to finish off the Warriors and go to the Finals next week. Instead we have a team that choked and didn't really seem bothered by getting swept because they got so far. It seemed like they accomplished their goal this season. Why not set your goal a little higher next time!?!?
I agree with HJ that because they reached the WCF it punched their ticket to not be so tough on themselves about lost opportunities. I think part of it is the character and nature of Stotts, Dame & CJ. They are the types that evaluate progress based on what they just accomplished how can they fix what went wrong and where they want to go, versus, ok we are broken as a unit and we must do something radical to propel change.
Man, I hate ET's game but I respect that he's the only one that seems bothered about both Stotts and what transpired on the court.
I never understand any bitching about the Blazers. Makes me wonder if they aren't only fair weather fans. It all gets back to teamwork and what makes teamwork work best. I think it works best when you maximize strengths and give people a feeling of being contributors rather than whiners who pull down the team.
Hoops if there has ever been a thing that we have ever agreed upon it is this! The Blazers absolutely had every chance to take this series and it did not happen.
ET does seem to know he's gone, he's borderline calling out Dame with that saying we should be up 3-1 not partying that it's over... Weird, maybe that's just how I'm taking it, bias and all that.
My postseason meltdown consisted of a trip to the beautiful Oregon Coast. Perspective. A person can do a lot of reflecting here. So.... Can't wait till September/October to see what next year brings. Splash Bros.? Nah....this picture is Splash Bros.
Pretty fucking funny for a guy to " borderline calling out Dame...." when he was absolutely no help whatsoever going 2-8 for 4 pts in 31 minutes.
So it seems as though the meltdowns have all melted away. The season has come to an end and the summer is just around the corner. Memorial day, Rose festival, Blue fest and all the work that i must get accomplished is awaiting me. Going to be a very busy next couple months. I have Hayward field going and a couple other projects taking shape. I will leave you all and hope you enjoyed the season. Probably will check back here and there for highlights as the summer progresses.
Have a good summer! I'll be here about the same amount because... I just like talking basketball more than a normal person should...
