With all the other dumb moves they've made, this seems like just another dumb one they didn't make.

Yeah, what's the best they could've offered? Vucevic, Ibaka, Hezonja, and picks?

I'd Rather roll with Nurkic at this point, and use our assets in pursuit of a complementary power forward, a defensive minded backup PG/SG, or an athletic wing. I like Nurkic's attitude. Boogie, not so much.

    Cmon man!

Why would the Clippers blow it up? Thats no where near enough value for Paul AND Griffin anyway.

That's still not a contender, because defense.

Because they will get ousted in the first or second round again and thier time is up. Getting Butler, and quarterman to fill the void of Paul, Getting AMinu and Vonleh to fill the void of Griffin. Plus they can shed some salary with Ezeli, making Butlers contract not look so bad in the trade.
Thier time is up. If they want to get anything for them they better move soon and I think that's a decent package over.

You dont think Turner/Blake/Nurkic is good enough defensively to hide Dame and CJ?

And VASTLY cheaper. I'm also on the "let's stick with Nurk" wagon. My interest in DMC has plummeted.

"and Quarterman to fill the void of Paul". What? Lol.

Aminu and Vonleh to fill the role of Griffin? What are you talking about? Lol.

Umm now your omitting things Bones. I said BUTLER and Quarterman to fill the void of Paul. meaning a couple guys who can handle the ball and one who can score and play D. Butler alone is not quite, but close to the value of CP3. I also said toss in a pick to make it hapen.
Aminu and Vonleh are power forwards, so they fill that hole.
I never said they were the same talent. They get Aminu who can start now and Vonleh who still has potential and maybe they can be sold he might be their next Griffin. NO is a salesman.

If LA is looking to blow it up, then they are looking for smaller contracts and picks.
What are YOU talking about? lol. give me substance as to why you don't think it wouldn't work. We can swap bodies in the trade too. Do they want Harkless instead of Aminu? Sold. Everybody somewhat solves their problems. Chicago gets rid of Butler and sheds Rondo. LA blows it up and starts working for the future when GSW is on the way out. and we get what we need right now to compete with GSW. Blake is a good passer. He could serve as a mid range PF for us with Nurkic inside. With Turner and him having Dame and CJ's back and Nurkic being a towering end all, I think we will be fine defensively and thrive offensively. We would be a top 5 offensive and a top 15 D. That is a contender.
Coming from the king of wild trades, I thought I might get a little support from you at least. wth???
Also, both trades were successful, IMO. ;)

The 76ers pulled Jahlil Okafor from their lineup last week b/c a deal w/Portland for the center was close to happening, per league sources.

The Blazers, however, decided instead to do a trade w/Denver for Jusuf Nurkic & a 2017 first-round pick, giving Portland three 2017 firsts.

We still want him. As our backup. But now it will cost less.

Good decision Neil, Nurkic is better.

Have to think whatever we were offering to Philly might be on the table for someone else.
