I said this in another thread, but that Oden dunk was sweet. Roy gave him the ball at the free throw line, actually Greg caught the pass with his left foot way behind and his right foot way in front of the line. He took one quick dribble and bam, dunk.

Just slightly less awesome than that summer league dunk but all things considered, a good sign for the future.

Anybody have a link to a video of this dunk. I wasn't able to watch the 2nd half of the game tonight. I was listening to the game on the radio and following the box score on my phone.

In the summer league video Greg was already starting towards the basket and he hadn't been out a year. The new one is still pretty good, just wasn't quite flying like the old one.

I want to see that same thing in a full year from now.

I just rewatched the last 15 minutes and Greg got me pumped. He adds so much without really doing anything. I can 't believe how much he has progressed in two games. He stays healthy and we are in almost every game. He and Joel erase any mention of "softness". Before we had to be on from the outside to win. We now can win ugly too.

I agree about the ugly wins. Need those.

I am sure Greg feels better physically, but the mental wall he must have been facing is gone now. None too soon.

You could tell it was a tough game mentally for the tired blazers by the way Nate actually SHOWED emotion when they won by hugging the guys.

that report is funny because the wolves just drafted a player with elite talent, then traded him mainly to dump salary. wolves are probably stuck with what they have unfortunately for them.

This is going to be a season of learning to play together and coming together, I think that Portland is close, very close, but we're not there yet. This for me is the fun part, the pieces coming together, learning and figuring things out. You can tell by reading posts from other forums like this one. He mentions Brandon Roy in the same breath as Kobe, Wade, Chris Paul, D. Williams when talking about top notch guards, then goes on to mention that we have a special player on our bench Jerryd Bayless that isn't getting minutes.

Portland is deep and they are learning to play together, I'm impressed with their play since the begining of the season. I hope all those fans that jumpped from the bandwagon after the first set back can make it back on board, this train is leaving the station and fast.

It's funny, but in that entire rant about needing to acquire an elite guard, or a prospect that has the potential to become one, he never even mentions O.J. Mayo. Think about it, the Wolves actually had Brandon Roy and O.J. Mayo and pissed them both away. Just keeping what they had would have given them the elite, up-and-coming backcourt they now completely lack. Exactly how does Kevn McHale still have a job?

they did screw up twice obviously, but roy would have added at least a few wins and they most likely wouldn't have been in position to draft mayo.

I'm still scratching my head at the Mayo for Love trade. I like Kevin Love. I think he's a good player. Mayo is a super-star caliber player though and Love plays the same position as Zach Randolph... I mean... Al Jefferson.

One caller actually called him out on his comments. He tried to slime out of it by saying his words were misinterpreted. I call bullshit.

Can't wait to see how Gavin and "CIP" defend themselves tomorrow for three hours or if they'll even want to hear it.
They bashed callers, called Greg a "jobber" whatever that means, and basically wrote him off this season, and right after that, Oden comes alive.
    Should be some good radio.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
You know, they said those things in order to provoke and ensure people listen. It seems like they're succeeding.

They just want listener base...it's not relevant to them if the listeners like them.
