Did you listen to him? He sounds like a complete shill and his logic makes no sense. The moment someone mentions something that goes against the Kings agenda he becomes super defensive and basically dismisses all the claims. Also asked a pissed off Kings fan to renue his season tickets to continue to "support the culture" of the team.

 

I am still listening to him, waiting for Vlade. His logic makes perfect sense. The Kings blew up everything for Cousins. They fired and hired 10,000 different coaches, talented players (Thomas, Evans, Rondo, Gay...) were put around him and his team never finished better than 38-44.

You gotta realize he's been hearing the same shit for the past 24 hours so he's probably a bit tired of it. Again he defends his point which happens to fall in line with the narrative of him being a corporate yes man for the Kings, that does not mean he actually is one.

In his first two seasons he averaged 11/4 followed by 14/4

He was averaging 20.3/6.3 the year he was traded to Boston.

Grant has been with the Kings since '88 so of course he is loyal to his employer. But he's not going to lie about his opinion to push the Kings agenda. I honestly think this is what he truly believes.

 

The kings fans calling into this show are either livid, and yelling at Grant about how stupid the FO is. Or they are glad that Cousins is gone, and feel like they finally got their team back.

Doug Christie clarifies the difference between a deal, and an offer. Deal something that is actually on your table to sign, offer something that is just spoken word.

Vlade confirms the other situation was just an offer, it never got as far as printing up papers to sign.

Vlade said there was not much interest for Cousins around the league, and that many teams were scared to take the gamble. Said for the past 2 years they have been evaluating offers for Cousins.

Sounds like the Kings have been seeing teams get cold feet for so long that they finally decided this could be their best chance to move him before they end up losing him the LaMarcus way.
