    I wouldn't say 100%. The Heat wanted to get value for Marion, and they did... both in getting rid of Banks but also in getting a guy who's potentially going to help them stay competitive.

    My initial thought was, "O'Neal's done... Miami lost" but they are only (as JE noted) taking on an additional year of salary. If their owner can stomach that then it's probably a good deal for them.

    Good trade, but IMO Miami is actually the winner here. They were stuck running a lineup with a bunch of SF on the floor at the same time, and needed a big. Banks being packaged with him is addition by subtraction.
