Am I missing something? Udoka was signed to a non-guaranteed contract to try out in the training camp right? So he's not on the official roster yet or at least that's what I heard on the Game. So why is everyone in this thread talking like Ime is already on the roster. Wheels said Udoka and Collins are probably the front runners for that last roster spot and that Dan Dickau was looking good in the pick up games at the practice facility too. But on Courtside, Jason Quick said he was pretty sure that Udoka wouldn't be the player that gets our last roster spot. I guess this almost guarantees that Udoka will make our final roster then, since Quick seems to be very good at getting things wrong.
My wife is really happy about this signing. We met Ime the first year he played here. We met him at a STH event to meet new players. He was added at the last min. The other players had a nice pic to autograph while he had a black and white pic that was obviously printed at the last min on reg paper. Karla ask me what position he played. I said Kersey's, but that didn't help her so I said Pippen's and Ime got a big smile on his face at the comparison.
Agreed... but even as that, he's better than anyone else on the list. Plus, as much as we beat up on Frye (and trust me... I am the first to call him out for sucking) he's at least got some youth and potential to improve. Players like Ime and Howard are only going to get worse. Pendergraph, of course, has some potential, but he's starting well back from where Frye has stagnated/regressed to. Ed O.
