Re: KP FIRED! (merged) I'm upset because I think he is a lot like Nate, near the top of the second tier of top GM's and Nate is near the 2nd tier of coachs. Unless you KNOW you have a top GM, don't get rid of him. If they hire one of those top GM's, I still think out of respect, they could have waited until tomorrow and let him leave right away. Having him work and take calls on a important day IMO not a classy thing to do.

They aren't going to move the team to Seattle because it would hurt the bottom line. You don't alienate the Portland fanbase and dollars because you don't want to lose it, especially while in Portland you still have tv rights in Washington and Idaho.

Re: KP FIRED! (merged) It's a business decision. PA owns the team and wanted to fire KP but did not want KP to go to another team before the draft was over. Makes sense to me. I like KP and would have been happy to have him stay, but if he is going to be fired, PA did the right thing, giving KP a chance to make a big move and save his job and since that did not happen, keep him just long enough to not hurt the teams draft plans.
