Portland's success per seed: #1 1978 - 2nd Rd 1991 - WC Finals 1992 - NBA Finals #2 1999 - WC Finals #3 1977 - NBA Champions 1984 - 1st Rd 1987 - 1st Rd 1990 - NBA Finals 2000 - WC Finals #4 1981 - 1st Rd 1988 - 1st Rd 1993 - 1st Rd #5 1983 - 2nd Rd 1985 - 2nd Rd 1997 - 1st Rd #6 1979 - 1st Rd 1980 - 1st Rd 1986 - 1st Rd 1996 - 1st Rd 1998 - 1st Rd 2002 - 1st Rd 2003 - 1st Rd #7 1994 - 1st Rd 1995 - 1st Rd 2001 - 1st Rd #8 1989 - 1st Rd I think it's interesting that Portland has had more success as a 5th seed than as a 4th seed. Also, they've only been 8th once. Let's get that 3rd seed, at least.
Phoenix is choking They were up 10 on Houston at the half, now they're losing by four with six minutes left in the third. It's just sad.
Re: Phoenix is choking Although I will say this, Shaq is the only guy who is still trying. The guy doesn't want to lose.
I do not agree with moving my thread here. It's only timely for another 30 minutes maybe. The ROckets/Suns game is on ESPN, and I think other Blazer fans will want to watch two of the teams that we are competing with. Now it's just buried in this thread, and most people won't see it. Just my two cents
Nice numbers Entity. Thanks for putting that together. And Nate, I love how excited you are about the Blazers and the playoff race these last few days. It's exciting, isn't it?
ugh so sick of the hornets, just lose already you're already on the ropes, just waiting for the 1st round fizzle
Oh brings back great memories. And people were actually arguing for Zach being the better player or an equal to Chris Bosh. And another note, Mike Dunleavy looks totally defeated.
Not sure anyone is reading this thread, but I guess this is where this belongs. To make it a little easier to look at the remaining schedule of teams in the 2-8 playoff race. I didn't include the Suns because I doubt they'll make it and they certainly won't catch us. In the order of the standings right now.
