Re: It's a good day to be a Blazer Its as if the stars are aligning tonight, now if only they will follow me through 10 am tomorrow for my midterm!
Woohoo!, it's a clean sweep for us. Down goes New Orleans, Houston, and Phoenix. Back in 4th place: 1. LA Lakers | 41-9 (.820) | GB -- 0 2. San Antonio | 34-15 (.694) | GB -- 6.5 3. Denver | 34-17 (.667) | GB -- 7.5 4. Portland | 31-19 (.620) | GB -- 10 5. New Orleans | 30-19 (.612) | GB -- 10.5 6. Dallas | 30-20 (.600) | GB -- 11 7. Houston | 31-21 (.596) | GB -- 11 8. Phoenix | 28-22 (.560) | GB -- 13 9. Utah | 29-23 (.558) | GB -- 13 -- Western Conference Standings on Tuesday Morning (10 Feb 2009) --
For all of Portland's bad week, they remain just 2.5 games out of the division lead and 3.5 games out of the #2 seed. It may be that Portland is not that great but, of course, it's all relative...it may be that no one is "that great" outside of the Lakers, Celtics and Cavaliers. Portland didn't knock off the Thunder as they should have, but everyone else is losing games they "shouldn't," also. I still think Portland can compete for any seed other than 1...their rookies are only going to play better going forward, with added experience.
Re: It's a good day to be a Blazer Let's ship Mixum out to Houston, Phoenix then New Orleans so they can "enjoy" him for awhile.
This is a huge stretch coming up for the Blazers. With an "easy" schedule, we could really do some damage to our competition. It's nice to think that we would have home court advantage right now if the playoffs started and we're already over half way through. I really don't think that this team will crumble quite like last year's, but they need to stay strong.
WED NIGHT IS A HUUUUGE NIGHT FOR THE BLAZERS utah plays the lakers magic plays denver suns play cavs hornets play boston blazers play thunder maybe denver wins... other wise i see 3 losses while we BETTER BEAT OKC. If so...that a 4 game lead at the break and possibly 5 if we beat GS. great chance for us. if the blazers aren't up for the okc game.... it would be a shameful loss at home!
Yeah, no doubt. I get the feeling sometimes they're like seniors in high school on their last few days of school, and they're just looking ahead to graduation and getting out and away from school. Or being kids just a few days away from winter break. They need to take care of business against OKC and Golden State, and then enjoy their time off.
TRADE EVERYONE!!!!! WE AINT GOING TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS ANYMORE!!! YOU GUYS WOULDNT LISTEN TO ME AND NOW LOOOK. THEY ALL WON!!! AGahdkjsfhalskdjfahldsfkj!!!!
Yep. Lakers won as well. Big day for us coming up. The good news is that three of the teams we are competing against, the Suns, Nuggets and Hornets, are playing the three best teams in the East, the Cavaliers, Magic and Celtics respectively. Go Cavaliers, Magic and Celtics! The Spurs are playing the Raptors, a good team on paper but not playing as well on the floor. Go Raptors! The Rockets are playing the team with the worst record in the league, the Kings. Go Kings! The Lakers are playing the Jazz. Something good for Blazer fans will happen either way, but I always root against the Lakers, so go Jazz! The other two teams we own draft picks of are playing eachother. I'd rather have the first pick of the second round if possible than a slightly better pick in the middle of the second round, so go Knicks! Most of all, GO BLAZERS!!
3 and a half pal... and thats not that much.....im telling ya now...no trade and we arent making the playoffs
