Re: Przy re-injures his patella! I'd love to hear what you think actually happened. After all, Joel is a pretty crazy guy. Big in to break dancing, wrestling steer, and rugby. IMO, him slipping in the shower, or tripping down the stairs, etc...etc... is extremely plausible considering he's currently rehabbing his knee. Not sure he gets out much, but whatevs....

This season ain't over. Just because he is out for the year doesn't mean that the job is done. He should be here with his team.

Re: Przy re-injures his patella! He would fly in for checkups just like Raef did. Do you really think him being in Milwaukee caused him to rerupture his tendon? They can't monitor him taking a shower, and he probably follows a strict guideline. He won't be able to play again this year (even if he hadn't reruptured), and his rehab is a long one - there is no harm in allowing him to be in Milwaukee where most of his kids grandparents are as well as his wife's family.
Re: Przy re-injures his patella! He did this at home. Where does he spend his off seasons? In Milwaukie. Where do you think most of his recreational activities takes place? In Milwaukie, WI. I'm sure he owns plenty of toys like a motorcycle, a jet ski, tons of things. They say he did it in the shower. That was his excuse. No one knows that for sure. We can only take his word for it. Letting him go, they basically took their eye off the ball with him. They should have kept him here so they could have kept a close eye on him with any and all activities. And really because he is being paid and is an employee of the Blazers. That shouldn't have been to much ask.
Re: Przy re-injures his patella! BTW. Raef was different. We had no intentions in keeping him. What he did in Iowa is his own thing. I'm assuming we had plans for Joel after this season.
Re: Przy re-injures his patella! wow, next year is really going to be interesting if Joel can play, we'll need to keep Camby because I'm not sure Greg can play an entire season, I also think we need to add another big in the draft.......this is bad news for Portland, and good news for Camby's camp, his value just went up.
Re: Przy re-injures his patella! Man this sucks for Joel. I feel much worse for him than the fans or the team. I did not have my hopes up on Joel returning to the court in any meaningful way next season. My ill-informed probability was only at about 20%, and that being near the end of the season. Now my hope is zero. That's why I already thought we needed to resign Camby -- now there is no doubt. But can we?
Re: Przy re-injures his patella! My brother called me last night - he was at PDX coming home from vacation and he saw Pryz in baggage claim severely limping and said he looked really pissed off. He was carrying his own duffel bag and it was a real struggle for him. He had to walk across the street (where the taxis are) and there was his driver and a Mercedes. It took him several minutes to get into the vehicle. At that point I hadn't heard he reinjured his knee. Poor guy.
