Rudy has been wildly inconsistent. Last night he wasn't helping the team. Nate was right to sit him. As for him being angry, well, he'll just have to manage his Mallorcan temper a bit better.

I think the team's rotations are so discombobulated due to injury, its hard to get a team flow going, hence the rabid inconsistencies this year.

No one on the team is solid, with the exception of Miller.

The team's rotations are discombobulated because none of our SGs have grabbed ahold of that position. Fuck, Rudy should have been able to step in and leave Nate no doubt about who should be starting at the two with Brandon out. He hasn't, and that's on Fernandez.

Pritchard should be planning to trade Webster and Rudy a week from today, anyway.

At 185 lb, he is the tiniest SG in the league. He will always get injured trying to play defense, so he won't. Petrovic was as tall, but not as skinny. His success came from hardnosed Bill Fitch. He was lucky to land on a bad team with a good coach in a media center, the Nets.

Actually no I believe this is what I was talking about weeks back, when I was worried about what happens when players come back. When injuries happened, it forced Nate to use a shortened rotation and the few players he had, had a ton of playing time, and never had to be worried about being jerked around, because Nate had nobody else to put in. They played much more confident knowing they weren't going to get jerked out. Now that players are coming back, we are seeing the same issues that were here in the beginning of the season. They never went away, just the players who were causing them did.

Could I?

Drazen as a rookie shot the ball way better than Rudy. 0.485 vs. 0.425 FG%, 0.459 vs. 0.399 3FG%. He had much better shot mechanics with a higher release point. Rudy's has a low release point and needs to be wide open to get his shot off. Drazen was also a better passer (17.8 vs. 12.7 AST%).

The biggest difference is Drazen didn't get enough PT to show what he could do in Portland. He averaged on 12.6 MPG his rookie year and was only getting 7.4 MPG his second season when the Blazers traded him.

I'm MUCH less worried about Rudy blowing up elsewhere. He's had plenty of chances to show what he can do (25.6 MPG last year, 22.6 MPG this year). We've seen all he's got, and it really isn't all that special. I'm not a Rudy hater. I love his energy, but no way do I see him ever being an NBA all-star. He's no Drazen Petrovic.

Drazen was far superior to Rudy. If Rudy wants more playing time, he might try playing worth a fuck for a change. It is that simple.

Petrovic was far from consistent in Portland.

If you actually watched the game instead of looking at box stats. we need to be patient, not deal someone because they have a string of 5 bad games.

the thing that bugs me about Rudy is that he seems to have the ball and works off others creating for him, then he just launches a shot. IMO, he should have the ball longer in his posession, he just looks like a one-trick pony because he is just chucking 3s. Not sure if that is Rudy's fault or the fault of the offense. He should be able to create more of his shots.

Well we can obviously argue about who has been solid by opinion all day, but in the end, the only solid player on the Blazers is named Roy, and that will still be the only answer that is correct.
