I would make both trades, especially the first one, that is a steal.

I was under the impression that the Pistons where very happy with Leuer, but I could be wrong.

Yeah from all reports SVG likes Leuer a lot for what he is. But even if he didn't, I think getting the better player/contract plus the better pick is a pretty optimistic return.

So Giles is getting workout from us and I heard he been having some pretty good workout with other teams. If he medically sound you might see him get pick by us with either the 15 or 20.

I feel like SVG would actually value Crabbe as a positive asset. Would like to see if A.C. and #20 for #12 is possible. I'd do that in a heartbeat. Just figured DET would want to send salary back.

Nobody is going to value Crabbe at almost $20M a year as positive asset.

The only positive assets we have are Lillard, CJ, Nurkic and possibly Harkless. I guess Aminu and Davis will be viewed as neutral/slightly positive value but Crabbe, Turner and Leonard will all be negatives. The way I see it, whatever we do in the market we'll be shopping with our three picks this year, our 2018 1st round pick and the three players mentioned (Harkless, Aminu and Davis).

I think we can get as high as #7 with a good combination of assets. Questions is, do we want to take Jonathan Isaac there, or do we prefer to get someone like Justin Jackson and trade assets for other pieces. I think moving up to #10 is comfortably doable without sacrificing too much. I think eventually we might end up with #10 AND #7 if we do our trading right, and have Jonathan Isaac and Zach Collins (but give up on all our three picks from this year, plus also give up on 2018 1st and Harkless) to develop. We could also trade Aminu and Davis for 2nd rounders to get some rotational pieces like Thornwell, Bell, Jeanne, Pasecniks or Ike.

Lillard, McCollum, Isaac, Collins and Nurkic has great potential. If you replace Isaac with Justin Jackson, it's still good potential out there. Actually, I might prefer to get Jackson at #15 to Isaac at #7 if it also means adding one of Jeanne, Pasecniks or Bell. I won't be surprised if we go after someone like Thornwell in order to make Crabbe even more expendable too. Jawun Evans as back up playmaker would also be good.

You're probably right, and that reveals the creative avenue our FO should be taking if trying to move him. Crabbe is at best a neutral asset, so package him and our pick to move up or down a spot or two, depending on who the trade partner is targeting.

He's IMO a negative asset but one that could be somewhat attractive to teams, if that makes sense. I think teams will prefer to take him as salary dump than Bazemore or Noah, for sure.

I'd target Orlando. They should have cap space, no free agents will want to sign there for the next 3 years anyway, and they could use another shooter. They have two picks after #30 and we could give them #26 plus Crabbe for one of them. It wouldn't be that bad of a deal. Philadelphia could also make sense but they are much tougher to deal with. Still, #26 plus Crabbe for #36 makes sense (a bit of).

Things are starting to get dull again, we need some more trade rumors.

2K working out with the Bulls, and word is they are interested in him at 16. Hope we take him with the 15 and pull the rug out from underneath the Bulls!

Not that excited about him. I think there will be better players available there. I am hoping for Justin Jackson.

Couldn't we just get Terrance 1k Ross and use 15 for someone bigger? 2k seems like a similar player with less experience.

Say we wanted to trade up, the highest we can IMO get is #7 from Minnesota and Jonathan Isaac but not for all three picks, two picks plus player most likely.

If we were to trade up, it's feasible to have #7 and #20 or maybe even #10 and #15 (Kings would probably take the other two picks if we added Harkless).

    Would you prefer:

Jonathan Isaac at #7 plus one of Ivan Rabb/TJ Lead/John Collins (some of whom will still be there at #20)

    Or

Zach Collins at #10-12 plus Justin Jackson or OG Anunoby at #15?

Then we can think about buying our way into second round with Aminu, Davis or cash. Also, I think with a bit of luck we can get BOTH Collins and Isaac but would have to give up all three picks, 2018 1st and maybe even Harkless or Aminu too.

Damn. I suspected he'd be tested for it. He really has the look of Vincent Schiavelli - one of the more well known marfan cases.
