Yep. There's nothing wrong with testing his back for him. It's worth an Oden foul. Until he drives, however, let's run him through some screens.
Guys, remember we're talking about VON WAFER. A banged up Von Wafer at that. Von Wafer isn't going to win or lose this series. I just love to say that name . . . Von Wafer. The guy is such a candyass. He had his 15 minutes of fame early in the series and it's over. We need not fear Von Wafer. The thing that scares me the most is (now that we are back in Houston) that Pryz & Oden get in early foul trouble and Yao goes nuts. Yao wants to have a big game tonight, and he's asked his teamates to get him the ball more. As far as things to worry about - Von Wafer is down around #27 for me (#26 is Channing Frye having to come into the game with our big guys in foul trouble and bricking 4 or 5 jumpers in a row, sending Houston on easy fast break after fast break buckets)
I was wondering about this while watching the game somewhere else. I didn't get online to see that he was cleared to play just before game time but to me, that seemed like a bush league move by Houston for the GM to go on the radio in the early morning to say one of his top reserves is sitting and then just before gametime, announce he's playing and looks like he didn't miss a beat. I don't think anything should happen but why announce it earlier in the day, and make it a story? Especially by the team's GM? Just bush league IMO.
