I tend to agree. Woj and others are painting a dark picture with "back channel" suggestions about him truly saying he wants to go home to LA. Even if someone is able to sway him to re-sign I am not convinced it would be the City of Portland.

On the flip side there seems to be more concern here in LA of PG being a poor teammate. I am taking that as a silver lining for the Blazers not getting him.

I think George wants to team up with lebron in LA. Honestly if I'm Cleveland I'm trading lebron. Imagine the return they could get for him. Better than being held hostage for a year.

Yeah I know. I was thinking lebron would waive it so Cleveland wasn't left empty handed again.

Exactly. Any team PG goes to that pays full PG value, won't be worth a damn once he gets there. Indications are he's willing to go to a crappy Lakers team, probably to build his own super team in the next couple of years because, you know, Lakers. But no way he wants to be traded to some gutted team somewhere else. So by driving his own trade value down, whatever team he goes to will have a better roster than if he hadn't tanked his value. Excellent strategy of looking out for number one.

He hates Dan Gilbert. Lebron's main focus was getting a chip for his hometown he's not doing it for the Cavs he's doin it for Cleveland and there is a big difference in his mind.

There is so much contradictory info flying around that it's hard to figure out what's actually true. On one hand, there are reports that most GM's don't think a one year rental is worth it. Another report was that Indy was going to trade him quickly. I think they're trying to get the genie back in the bottle. I think they know his value is shot, and KP is trying to squeeze every ounce out of the trade that he can muster.

I'm skeptical as to whether we trade for George. I'm starting to not feel very optimistic about the prospect of that happening.

I felt pretty good about our chances with the lobbying from our two star players, and the potential package we could offer.

Now I feel like Neil doesn't think it's worth it, I guess we will see.

They could be gunshy because of LMA. These are the guys who sat on their hands while it was pretty obvious he wasn't going to stay.

Shams Charnia? (sp) thinks the Blazers/Nuggets/Suns are teams that have the assets to get someone LIKE PG13

This is why I never talk about prospects of getting a star player.

It's a waste of time. Just get one in the draft, or don't. No expectations. Makes the offseason a lot easier to get through.

We aren't getting any younger. I would like to see a championship before i die. I have a lot of time left but still..... prospects don't look great at the moment. So yeah, i get my hopes up that we may actually make a big fucking move for once.

Remember how awesome that Scottie Pippen trade was? I want some of that again please.

Ah. See, If I don't see a championship in my lifetime, I'm not going to be sad. If we get one, that's great. But I think that's just me not caring as much about sports as I once did. (Not that you care -too- much, just my own thing).

I'd like the see the Blazers win one, or at least go through another stretch like the end-of-the-80's, early-90's. Seen the Niners win a few SB, and most importantly, the Giants win 3 WS over 5 years, so I'm feeling good at the moment.
