Re: Would you support this move?

lee is a better rebounder than aldridge, but aldridge is a far superior defender as well as having an offensive game that is a great compliment to roy/oden(while lee doesn't).

i'd do it for deron(or paul) because he's easily the 2nd best pg in the league and it would just be something too good to pass up(though i'd prefer throwing a lot of money at odom or millsap to play the pf spot than lee).

i'd consider it for the next tier of pg(parker/billups/rose/harris level) but probably wouldn't end up doing it if the pf being signed was david lee.

no chance would i do it for a rondo/jameer nelson/mo williams level player.

Yes. I've had an odd weekend... and had spilled both a cup of orange juice AND water withing 10 minutes of typing that. Weird.

It was a typo and then a copy and paste and then I didn't catch it.

    Oops!

You think better of it than I do. I'm 150% opposed.

Never with Lee. Lee is ridiculously overrated. He gets rebounds and scores a little in a running game but is simply overpowered most of the time and is not a defender at all. Conversely, Aldridge is a much more varied and talented scorer and a FAR better defender, and is vital to the team. The only way I MIGHT consider this is if instead of Lee we signed Odom, who is far better than Lee. But then only if LaMarcus was traded for Chris Paul, Deron Williams or possibly Rajon Rondo. I do not rate Harris very highly.

Stop with your stupid trade ideas man. You post a different, ridiculous idea every day.

This is one of the worst.

    As others have said:

Your lumping in Devin Harris with Deron Williams is a mistake.

LaMarcus for Chris Paul or Deron Williams - Yes.

    For Devin Harris - No.

And, we can't trade LaMarcus right now anyway. Extension time. Doesn't work.

No, you don't trade a big for a small unless there is a huge disparity in ability. The difference in ability between Harris and LA isn't that big (if it exists at all) so this would be a terrible trade.

I can assure you that if Portland made such and offer New Jersey wouldn't hesitate to make this deal. They can always run Rafer at PG.

Re: Would you support this move?

    Yuck.

The spacing for that team would be poor.

Harris - can't shoot the long ball
    Roy is a slasher
Batum is a low volume spot up shooter for now.
Lee is not a shooter, he is a slasher/garbage player
Oden is glued to the paint.

The shooting of LaMarcus is an underappreciated component of the Blazer's current offense.

Sorry, but I hate that lineup.

I do not think it is an improvement over what we would have by keeping LaMarcus and using our cap space on some other player that improves the top 8 or 9 players on the team.

You don't lose your head over one off season and make a bonehead move like this.

Re: Would you support this move?

I've changed my mind on this over time. At this point though, I do not want to move Aldridge unless we're talking about Chris Paul. No one else. Lamarcus's ceiling, to me, is Pau Gasol. I wouldn't move a prime Gasol for a prime Deron Williams or Devin Harris.

I would, however, move David Lee for a high-level point guard.

    Would You Trade LMA...

....if it meant getting David Lee and a top-tier Small Forward and/or Point Guard? If so, for whom? What if the deal included Rudy, as well?

PG's: Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Derrick Rose (maybe).
SF's: Lebron James, Danny Granger (maybe).

I'll combine those two replies: Hell no for any reasonable acquisition we would make.

No way Utah trades us their best player. I sure as hell would do it though, if the price was right.

Aldridge - no way in hell should he be going anywhere. Blazer for life.
He'll become scary good within the next few seasons.
