Good thoughts. the only bad news is we really get hurt at backup PF and SG.

Well in that deal we get back Stevensen to take Rudy's minutes. Deshawn is a decent player who plays okay defense and can shoot well but has been in a slump.

In this deal we get a PF back

But no backup SG. I actually like that deal better, because we can get to a three guard rotation with Blake, Bayless, and Roy.

First thing, I don't think that trade is going to happen. Phoenix gets the short end of the stick and has reportedly already turned down a Marion/Beasley deal because they also wanted Chalmers or a draft pick. Don't see any reason why that one's better but, anyways.

This deal leaves us with three guard TOTAL. Blake, Bayless, and Roy. What were to happen if one of them got injured? We'd be forced to play two guards 48 minutes because we don't have any backups whatsover, and I really can't see the likelyhood of that happening.

Interesting trade although I still can't fathom us ever parting with Rudy.

Like I said I really don't like thinking up trade proposals. Someone will always disagree. And I do see your point but if one were to get hurt, Caron has the skills to play SG.

Even if it were for Caron? I mean Rudy is awesome but we could only hope that he could be as good a player as Caron.

I know. I'd love to have Caron. He's my No. 1 target if we could get anyone in the league that's reasonable. I just have a feeling that KP regards Rudy in such a high regard that trading him isn't an option after what it took for them to bring him over.

So, if you lose one of the point guards, you're basically forced to go big for the whole game? Or play Blake/Bayless for 48 mins?

Roy can play some point as well if needed.

A 3 guard rotation would work like this.

    Blake/Bayless PG
    Roy/Bayless SG

If Bayless gets hurts Blake and Roy can play some PF with Caron playing some SG.
If Blake gets hurts same thing happens.
If Roy gets hurt then Blake and Bayless still split at PG but Caron and Bayless have to split some time at SG.

If more than two gets hurt we'd be pretty screwed, but so would 99% of the league.

We also would have Webster who was originally a SG.

I'll assume you meant PG instead of PF.

You agree though, when one of the point guards go down, we are forced to go big. I'd say we'd have to go after another point.

Amare's looking great so far (vs. GS).

He'd absolutely hate it here. Watching the Suns, Porter's system looks like D'Antoni's compared to Nate's.

I found this from a Suns board (via rotowire)

I'd like Amare, but then again, who the f*#k is going to get him the ball?
