New York Mets manager Terry Collins said he rolled the dice Tuesday night against the Washington Nationals. Collins removed All-Star pitcher Jacob deGrom after six innings and sent up pinch-hitter Eric Campbell with two runners in scoring position. Campbell delivered, putting New York ahead with his two-run single in the seventh, and a stagnant Mets lineup finally came through with several clutch hits to back deGrom in a 7-2 win over the Nationals.
