I'd rather he watch footage of Wilt actually playing basketball.

Wow. What the Blazers have done to Meyers (or the lack of refining him) is a real shame.
In that video Meyers is fiery, agile young center operating around the rim.

The Blazers have turned him into a soft, 3-point shooting specialist.
What a joke of a job by the Blazers! They need to hire a big man coach to rectify this. . .

I know for a fact...or as close as that can be without being in the room, that the Blazers want Meyers to refine his post skills. HE chooses not to.

Damn shame if true. I heard he's scared of hurting his ailing shoulder which he's had long term issues with. But who knows.

It's not the post skills I'm concerned about as much as it is the agility. He never runs to the rim anymore. Even in his very first game as a rookie, I recall Dame throwing him multiple lobs and pocket passes off the P&R and Meyers finishing with authority. Now, he exclusively moves back to the 3pt line.

This was in preseason his rookie year. WTF happened? Now he's lead footed and never runs to the rim.

This same move out is also visible in his blocked shots. He has 0 timing on blocks anymore whereas he was a pretty decent shot blocker as a rookie. I feel like someone fucked up his brain.

This was 2 seasons ago. This guy was a beast. Now he's a poor man's version of Channing Frye.

Someone needs to get his head right. He's too skilled to be so ineffective and I think Neil realizes that.

I noticed in the video that he already had the bad habit of catching the ball almost under the basket and instead of going up and attacking the basket, he dribbles away from the basket. How about coaches setting up a drill where he gets an electric shock every time he does that?

And yeh, he doesn't seem as agile as he used to be. Was he put on the wrong weight program?

You still saw him exhibiting his weaknesses. You never saw a confident player. When it comes to the player he has become so far, I don't think that's by Blazer Mgmt. design. It's what he wants to be.

It's a passive aggressive insult. He finds it uncomfortable to say his real name, so he forces the rest of us to figure out he means Meyers Leonard.
