I have to agree with you on this. We need some versatility in this offense. Keep an offense that does well shooting 3's, but for crying out loud hit a few more cutters. We have an abundance of targets this year who can finish in traffic.
Have to agree with you there..in fact I was impressed that both ML and CJ gave hard fouls. When is the last time someone not names Joel Priz gave a hard foul on this roster
Meyers is a weird mix of Tom Chambers and Ryan Anderson... Dammit there I go comparing white players to other white players... Fuck it, less crazy Sheed!
Naw, we leave mad to the dogs. But it does seem the beauty of the game has been swapped for chuckers. Not because we have better shooter now, more likely it is just easier.
That's true. Evolution happens. Had to evolve to get to where you liked it at one point, it's only inevitable.
I still would. Oh! You can still see it run occasionally, the latest I can think of is GS with Bogut on the high post and the other lads scurrying about. They do it quite well too.
hmm I have seen them both take hard fouls...but give them? Man, Nic floated so often, I just dont remember seeing him do so. Now Wes may have, but I have no recollection.
For giggles, I did a quick search. Not afraid to admit when i am wrong. Anyway, seems you were half right. While there is no record of Wes giving a hard foul, Nic did in Spain. No wonder I dont remember. I think JJ got tossed once or twice.
Thats a good comparison. Okur was a quality starter so if Meyers can become that valuable he should have a good role. Sam Perkins is another one. Dirk comparisons are ridiculous. He was a transcendent player. Reminds me of fans comparing a young Luke Babbitt to Bird.
Meyers doesn't have half the passing skills Sabonis had. Thats an insult to Arvydas. Meyers is a better 3 point shooter. Pre-injury Sabonis was far more athletic.
I remember Babbitts Nevada mixtape lol He did look like Larry 2.0 but like HCP says... Highlight reels are so unreliable lol
This might be my favorite Blazer "foul" of the last decade. Best thing about it was it wasn't even called a foul.
That is some funny shit. I remember that and remember laughing when it happened. Still laughing now. You see Andre get pushed a bit from behind from Blake on the other end. Dre turns and looks at the ref and at Blake, then says, "fuck it, they aint calling fouls? Im putting the locomotive action into gear!!!" oh man... it might have been a flag ged hit in the nfl even. GREAT find!
He's certainly nothing like Laimbeer on the defensive end, or in terms of attitude. But I was thinking more offensively. I don't remember him having much of a post up game. He took mostly face up jump shots (and had a nice mid range game), had good court awareness, good passer, didn't force up bad shots.
