I wish we had signed him, I'd love him on this team. Not only because he's a solid pro, but because he'd be such a good influence on this team.

I was way more crushed when we traded Dre for Felton than any other move in recent Blazer history..I really wanted him to end his career here

Me too. Why is it players I want on the team always come either after their prime OR when the coach fucks things up (hello Sarge, line 1)

There's no past nba player that I can say he reminds me of. Sure certain parts of his game can remind me of certain players but as a whole no. That's what makes him exciting.

To many people likes compare certain players to past player and that not fair to the younger players especially if they don't meet the older players standards. Myers is Myers that can shoot outside but that where the game has gone. You see younger players in high school they don't warm up shooting around the rim they are out there shooting the 3 ball.

To add to my initial post, I thought this article from August was pretty interesting.
I really think people are sleeping on him as an obvious MIP candidate. He has few holes in his defensive game to keep him off the floor. On the other end he's kind of a poor man's Dirk/LMA type of hybrid on offense, and we have the absolutely perfect coach in the league to manage that kind of player.

Its official! I found out last night that Meyers is untouchable and will retire a Blazer. Wanna know how I found out the inside skinny?.

So I'm a little concerned that Leonard isn't taking as many shots as it seems like he should. I thought he was going to be our 3rd option, but so far he's taking about 6 shots a game. This is preseason - Stotts should be letting Leonard go to work. Actually, Stotts should be forcing the issue and drawing up plays for Leonard to get his development underway. Another mark against Stotts in my book.

Absolutely. He's out best shooter, and most games he's shooting 6 shots. It's preseason! It's the perfect time to push at the edges of your game. I want Plumlee to rebound more.
I also wanted to see some semblance of P/R play with Dame, Plumlee, CJ, and Davis. Granted I haven't watched any games, but I've watched all the highlights and checked the box scores and it doesn't appear that we've utilized the most fundamental of plays. Stotts seems asleep at the wheel.

How you gonna say you haven't watched the games, then say they haven't been running the plays you want?

This statement is so inherently backwards.

Caught a few nice P&Rs with CJ/Dame and Plums over the past two games. It's coming.

Absolutely agree with you on Leonard shooting more. Dude is skilled as hell. Needs to be more selfish. But he just NEVER forces the issue.

Meyers just isn't a pick n roll player. Not in his game. spreading the court hitting 3s is. Wish he had a back to the basket game and a nose for the ball though.

Did I say I wanted to see the P/R with Meyers? Learn to read then post! ;)
(But I do seem to recall seeing a bit of P/R with Meyers in the past - he has it in him.)

It was a qualified statement. Hopefully that's not truly above your reading level and you just want to be a jerky nitpick. At least yuyuza indicated that it's happened a little bit.

It was most certainly not a qualified statement. You haven't even watched the games and yet you feel qualified to speak on what plays they're running. How am I supposed to take your opinion seriously?

And for the record, they are running their fair share of pick and rolls, usually with Plumlee and Davis, rarely Vonleh. Meyers never rolls, and Dame/CJ aren't particularly great at passing to the roll man either, most times rather force up a shot at the run.

    This!

Plums and Davis roll to the hoop every time, but our guards have trouble getting them the ball. Dame at least has a bit of experience with this when Hickson was on the roster, while CJ has had essentially none. These dudes need to learn not only how to make a pocket pass to the roller, but also close range lob passes.

I don't know. At the Jazz game I didn't see that many rolls. It was pretty stagnant, to be honest.
