But who is the Ed Davis/Aminu in this free agency?

    Kent Bazemore is one.

But we already have a lot of SG/SF types as it is.

Maybe Mirza Teletovic then? I think Olshey will find someone we least expect.

I don't think it's going to be an under-the-radar guy. I think Neil is ready to swing for the fences. I think he'll go hard for a star.

Yeah I think Dame and Neil will recruit hard - HARD - for Kevin Durant and/or Paul George. Dame is the "secret" weapon. He seems to make the players around him better; his leadership skills and charisma are obvious.

PG isn't a free agent though, but I would like to see Dame make a call to Durant.

My bad; I thought he was. But yeah, KD has to be their target. SF is a position where we can grow the most, where we have two great bench guys, one of whom is starting.

If I had a choice between playing with Westbrook and playing with Dame, I would choose Dame.

Westbrook is an incredible talent. Maybe the best point guard in the league, but if I'm a star caliber player, I'm not wanting to play with him. Huge ego.

I don't think Westbrook makes players around him better. Dame? I think he definitely does. That's the difference maker.

Westbrook puts up insane assist numbers..... but I agree that he doesn't make those around him better. Funny how that works though, right?

Can you see Westbrook trying to motivate his guys to beat Utah last night? Or would Mack have gotten into his head and made him try to go HAM and fail?

Stotts has done that so many times.... how many times have we beaten them because Stotts goads him into trying to go HAM and they lose?

Oh god last season (two years ago?) when he made a HUGE show of subbing Matthews onto Westbrook was fucking HILARIOUS. "He afraid! He afraid!" *brick brick brick*

I actually wouldn't mind playing the Thunder. They're ripe for a first round misfire. They're us from last season. Watch KD check out early.

Yeah, they're vulnerable, and we're a good matchup. San Antonio is a machine, but we *might* be able to find a weakness and exploit it (Meyers frustrating LMA into an ejection?). Golden State would be an amazing series, but we'd probably lose in 5 or 6.

What if you were already best friends with Westbrook?

    Those two are real close.

No chance we get Durant. If Neil goes after him it'll be a mistake. Look at the Lakers free agency while they did two LaMarcus meetings.

Are you sure? I've always seen a lot of friction between them.

I'm sure they'll have some idea by the time free agency rolls around if it's worth it to kick the tires on Durant.

You guys are forgetting Dame doesn't really believe in recruiting players.

I'm sure a lot of people didn't think Aldridge would leave. We had no idea how much the relationship between Dame and Aldridge had deteriorated. That all came out after the fact.
