I was just as baffled by it as anyone. I mentioned in the game thread that it was the first time I ever wanted Stotts to put him back in a game. I think the kid earned some respect on the court against Utah

I'll even give a shout out to Claver, he played well and made a 3pt shot, that'll rile the natives.

Meyers needs to stay with Bill Walton for a week, get lectured 14 hours a day on John Wooden, footwork, position, toughness, anticipation, how to smoke weed and listen to the dead. And then cut that fuckin bieber hair and grow a beard.

I'm with you on the hair cut, I'd say crew cut and a fumanchu..for that he needs to hook up with Drew Gooden. For the crew cut, Chris Mullen

Meyers will never be Joakim Noah in the paint but he might become Channing Frye

Right now he's on the Larue Martin fast track. Next thing you know he'll be asking HCP if he'll friend him.

I think Meyers will be fine... I Honestly haven't seen a forum turn on a kid so fast and hard as this.

Game last night. 8 minutes played, 3 boards and a block, also had a lower + / - than most.

Wait, a group of folks who pushed hard for Channing damn Frye in FA (collectively, not necessarily anyone in this thread) is saying that defense off the bench matters now all of a sudden because Leonar_ is being mentioned? Besides, since many of our sets are predicated upon a PF extended 17-20 feet, it makes some sense that he (and the coaches) see a pathway to some burn being to improve the jumper--out to 3pt if need be

I already beat my head against that wall. We HAD to get Frye so he could shoot the long ball, but Meyers HAS to be a power post player. Ridiculous.

If he were some African project who's "only played organized basketball for 'x' years" he'd be getting all kinds of slack. I think they hate him because he's so pretty. ;)

be nice to see Meyers get on a hot streak and start burying those outside shots, LMA makes such a huge difference as he has made them all his career, if Meyers can show at least some if that it would be big

Nobody should EVER be forced to listen to the Grateful Dead. Personally, I'd rather be waterboarded.

I like the Channing Frye comparison. The only problem is that Meyers is a Channing Frye without a jump shot.

I know how good his is in practice, but he hasn't done it in games so far. It's like Ruben Patterson could shoot well in practice....

If he ever does start hitting them....he can be a decent backup. I still prefer what Thomas Robinson brings to the table though.

I like to think of myself as a pioneer ... a "trailblazer" if you will ... I turned on the guy the moment they announced the pick.

He actually has a really good jump shot. What he doesn't have is the instincts to defend and block out. That is the thing that makes me go Ape Shit when he's on the court.

If he can be semi-decent with box outs and at least contest shots, then he will be a decent 4th string big
