Thanks captain sunshine, because it would be absolutely unprecedented for a 20 year old rookie big to learn the nuances of the game. Going by the "eye test" he looks a lot more comfortable out there and the game is slowing down for him. I don't care if it's against weaker competition, the fact that he's starting to get it and is gaining confidence is huge.

Yeah, I didn't say that asshole....Stop trying to say that I did....I questioned whether Lillard was worth the 6th pick (he has proven that he was worth it)...and questioned whether the "eventual" difference b\t Teague (who is almost 3 years younger) & Lillard was substantial enough to warrant taking Lillard @ #6, as opposed to taking Teague (or another PG) mid way thru the 1st. Lillard has had a great year, no doubt...Teague has been stuck on the bench, clearly one sided win for Lillard at this juncture, who knows 3 years down the road? Teague could develop like Bledsoe or his brother or fade away...

I have enough bad opinion posts already (everyone here does), I don't need you making one up for me....

So you still refuse to admit that you were wrong about Lillard?

HE doesn't have to admit it. The entire forum already knows.

I love Leonard. Have for quite some time. Been on the bandwagon since before we drafted him.

That being said, I wanted Drummond. I was hoping for a Drummond-Lillard draft. Unfortunately, neither player was going to drop to #11, even though Drummond was dropping (and Lillard skyrocketing destroyed my hopes of taking him at #11, but I ain't mad).

I get people being reserved on Leonard. He has a ways to go, but he's showing growth, and the athletic ability and touch are there. But don't be stubborn and deny that he's improving. Cuz if you can't acknowledge something so obvious, I question your basketball knowledge in general.

Dude, Blaze did just say that Lillard has proven he was worth the #6 pick. He can be defensive and he may not be my favorite poster, but come on - did you expect a hand job, too? I think his comment qualifies as him admitting he was wrong. It's not as clear and bright as a neon sign, but that's hardly refusing to admit his incorrect opinion.

MediocreMan saying the same things about Hickson and Leonard 20 times a day is getting quite annoying.

I keep telling people to iggy me if they would be happier not reading what I say. I get stuck on something and have a hard time letting it go. Doing my best though

I will make sure one of the others reaches out to you for the Over/Under game.

The ignore feature is so shitty I can't use it. Plus I don't want to ignore anyone, if I ignored everyone who was annoying from time to time it'd just be me talking to myself. I just have been seeing the exact same arguments about Hickson and Leonard for.. Most of the season? Just tired of it.

They will probably continue when people say silly things like Hickson's defense is getting better and when people all of sudden start thinking Meyers Leonard is the second coming of Wilt Chamberlain because he runs well and dunked playing against Bismack, DeSegana, Greg and Chris

Uh yeah I didn't say he is gonna be the next Wilt, I started this thread because he is a good young player who is showing promise and keeps improving.

PS, centers these days don't come a whole lot better than the guys you mentioned.

Nobody said anything about him being the second coming of Wilt. But most of us can watch him and feel positive about his potential. Most of us can see growth. What's silly is you consistently denying it when it's apparent to everyone else by you. We're all entitled to our own opinions, but when the evidence is apparent, it almost seems like you're going out of your way to be correct.

Even if he is beating on scrubs, most of them have been in the league for years. They've made it this long. Leonard is a rookie and has had fairly limited time. It's a positive sign that he's outplaying guys who have been in the league much longer.

And nobody said Hickson was a good defender. But he's been putting more effort in on the defensive side. It still leaves a lot to desire, though. Someone pointed that out. We already know your opinion on the matter, too - as VG pointed out, you've been saying it everyday (as have many other posters here).

    Love this stuff . . . Gotcha! . . . No, I got YOU! . . . No, I got YOU!

You'd think you were arguing a case before the Supreme Court rather than just talking hoops.

There hasn't been a time when I was anything but positive about Leonard, and there are plenty of others on this board who liked what they saw, too.

The "big white American stiff" stuff was stupid, and must have been posters just trolling, looking back.

    Another fun fact about Leonard.

He now has a higher PER (13.4) than USG (13.3), and of his five best games of the season, 3 of them were the last 3 games for the Blazers.
