Pretty ironic coming from a guy who made a documentary about himself.

He just needs a change of venue, new scenery and a chance to start over. The problem is, Portland would be selling very low on him. He seems so fragile mentally and if he thought the organization and the fans weren't very supportive of him during the season, I hope he doesn't see the results of the poll.

"Killing everyone's ability to communicate and be PRESENT"

First off he probably screwed himself more talking to canzano

    And

He has never been present. Ever.

After we lost to Memphis in the playoffs I predicted that CJ would go off the next season which he did and got MIP. Also thought Meyers would finally come to. He never did. He got worse. At the time though he was confident after Memphis. We lose lamarcus and he talks about stepping up the next season. Never happened. This dude isn't even an asset. He's worth very little. He just needs to go. His reaction time is what I see when people first try the game of basketball. You watch him and he just gets confused, doesn't know how to help or cover the weak side and when he does it results in an and one or foul. I feel like his release also got slower over the years. Doesn't know when to just shoot the ball, instead pump fakes which leads to nothing. I just can't believe he's made it this far, maybe he does need a fresh start but he just needs to go this summer

    Butters...

People aren't caring about your opinion these days... Get the fuck off twitter and get your ass in a gym...

    We're much more concerned with:
    1. Getting you off the team.
    2. Hoping we don't have to sell a draft pick to do it.
    3. Who's gonna replace you at 3rd/4th string C.
    4. Praying for an amnesty clause.
    5. Sitting you at the end of the bench with 0 minutes in an effort to save on healthcare for the setback injury you have near every season.
    6. You getting better at basketball.
    In. That. Order.

Seriously, can we have a Meyers Moratorium on this board. If I have to read about summer ramblings of that guy I am going to go off the deep end. And I am taking all of you with me!

Did any of you watch his exit interview? My, oh my, the end was painful to watch. At the 5:17 mark someone asks him how he feels about his future with the team. And it's like he's really trying to be super careful not to say the wrong thing (sort of like how he plays). It's almost like he's expecting to get traded and he knows how much the fan base is down on him.

He also seems to insinuate that the coaching staff doesn't have confidence in him. Or maybe he was talking about the fanbase? He says doesn't care, but I can tell it really affects him.

I mean, Meyers is not a moron, he has to know what a vote of non-confidence it was that Stotts wouldn't even play him even with Nurk and Davis out. But he earned that vote of non confidence.

Seriously? If there was a way to "fix" Meyers Leonard, he or the coaches would have figured it out by now. He's just not very good.

He doesn't need Kaman or any of these other big men coaches. What he needs is mother fucking Dale Davis or Chris Dudley.

Forget all the shooting and other bullshit. It just isn't going to work out for you, man, because you are too weak-willed. You'll fuck it up, get down on yourself, and miss the next 10 shots. Low post, midrange, three pointer--it doesn't matter. This problem will never, ever go away. No amount of practice will improve your spine.

Learn to defend, be big and rebound a little. Dunk. Keep it stupid simple and you'll have a job in the NBA for the next decade. Hopefully somewhere else.

Probably good advice. It would be interesting to see him just rebound, defend and pass for one year. Maybe it would slow down the game for him.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Even if he just focuses on defense and rebounding, the game's going to get plenty fast when teams force him to defend in space by having his man set a screen for a pick-and-roll.

My problem with Leonard hasn't really been spine or weak will, just that he seems to process the game too slowly, on offense and defense. He doesn't have the ability to catch the ball and immediately understand what he should do next--either pull the trigger, pump and go or move the ball to the next guy. Those quick decisions are almost 100% of what it takes to beat locked-in half court defenses--you need to keep ahead of their scrambling til they break somewhere. Those precious seconds Leonard holds the ball to figure out his next move allow the defense to catch up and the offense is back to square one. That "thinking not reacting" is also what prevents him from getting anything done when he's out in space on defense (as opposed to attached to someone in the post). He's not a bad athlete--he has the tools to be able to hold his own as much as any big man can when isolated in the pick-and-roll. He just has to stop and think and by that point he's beaten.

I don't know if he'll ever process the game on that level. He hasn't gotten better in that regard over his time in the NBA--if anything, he's regressed.
