This Whiteside idea is a giant mistake. Meyers is more valuable than Whiteside to the Blazers, and the trade is not progress even if a 1:1 trade! Whiteside was not even in the Playoffs this year, is 30 years old, on the decline, and never showed the scoring efficiency of Meyers. Based on absolutely leading all Blazers, including Nurk, Dame, and CJ in the 5 categories that I referenced here in the Playoffs, Meyers should be starting for us this fall. The Blazers should back out of this trade and stay with the leading scoring talent that has emerged and continues to grow. The only advantage that Whiteside has in the statistics are rebounds, but Meyer is continuing to improve, and together with Zach, Rodney, and perhaps Skal and new Blazers can win the NBA Championship. This is not the time to give up the emerging offensive power and team cohesiveness that Meyers brings to the Blazers. Blazer coaches, please review this and cancel the deal!

Neil, if this deal is made, we will loose the outstanding progress that we saw in Meyers leading the Blazers in WCF Game 4 that is on the way to the 2020 Championship. Make a great decision and cancel this deal before it is finalized!
