Not sure I see much LMA in his game. I know you said "Mini" but LMA was really long with a 7'5" wing. His best asset IMo was his post-up game. Murray's draft comparison was Dorian Finney Smith, but I am hoping more for a Tobias Harris once he adds another 10 lbs.
By the way, Kris Murray's height is incorrectly stated as 6' 8" everywhere I have seen it (ESPN, U o Iowa, NBA). Murray measured 6' 7.75" barefoot, so that means he's 6' 9" in shoes. Edit: Rayan Rupert barefoot: 6' 6" (they don't do "in shoes" anymore at the combine) Jabari Walker barefoot: 6' 6.75" , 6' 8" in shoes.
I love it when Riley poses as 'NBA executive' and talks about his own team. He's been doing this for years.
Well that's all fine and dandy. The problem for Riley and Dame is that by belittling Dame's value they're actually making a trade less likely. It means Miami has no plan to increase their offer, and they'll put all their effort into a twitter campaign. Dame is the greatest Blazer of all time (for some), coming off his best season ever. Good luck.
@10:18 of the below linked draft day presser, Cronin gives a hint about the secret Blazer shoe powers. "Scoot, who's only 6'4", but he err... 6, you know, we measured him at 6'2 and a half barefoot, so we call it 6'3", 6'3 and a half, ummm" If Harry Potter had magical Blazer shoes, he would dominate the universe.
If Scoot is 6' 2 1/2" barefoot, he should be listed as either 6' 3" or 6' 4". What's your problem? Are the other teams playing barefoot?
I don't know if he'll be a Tayshaun Prince type player, but I'd rather he be a Tayshaun Prince or a Ben Wallace than Paul George.
Kris Murray very obviously equals a less aggressive Keegan Murray. There are a lot of guys in this league, almost everyone, that we have to struggle for a comparison for, Kris isn't one of them. He compares extremely well to a little less aggressive version of last season's all rookie teamer Keegan Murray. For once there really doesn't need to be a stretch for wild comparisons, we have a guy who is genetically identical to our new rookie, who we've already seen perform very well in the league who only seems to have a different attitude. I don't think Tayshaun Prince and Keegan Murray are very similar but Kris and Keegan Murray seem to have a lot in common.
No one accused Paul George of being the GOAT either. I'd rather have Ben Wallaces 4x DPOY, rebound titles, block titles, and 6x all defense over Paul George.
