The Heat have nothing. If Joe does that it will live in infamy. He will forever be viewed as a moron that caved. He will never have another NBA job after he is fired by POR in a couple years.
I think this might be the MIA offer we end up accepting. Ayton, 3 firsts, Jovic, and 2 pick swaps. It's not that much worse than what Toronto would give us.
Talk about out of touch. Also, why in god's green earth if you were a millionaire would you downgrade to an EV and then replace the battery in 3-5 years? My mom has had to replace hers twice to the tune of like $20k.
WTF NO! A it's Miami, so horrible start (I get that is the thread). B), we are getting just Jovic and 3 picks? That's garbage! Yuck!
I always thought Cronin was going to send Dame to Miami. Hope it's not true. That's a really shitty package from Miami.
Hard to tell if he will be significantly better than Jovic. They are two entirely different types of players. It would be best if we got both just in case. If they really were only going to give us one of the two (which is a deal breaker for me) I am not sure which I would prefer. If we plan on trading Grant then I would choose Jovic. If we intend to keep Grant then Jaime would fill an immediate need....especially if Nas is moved in an Ayton deal. We need a solid 225 lb SF alongside Grant.
I wouldn't believe that narrative. Cronin has admitted taking worse deals in the past to get guys to their preferred destination. Heck, just look at him taking second rounders over James Wiseman. It's super hard to make an offer for Damian Lillard that would not be better than Miami package.
