lol at Heat fans thinking now that Haslem is the Dirk stopper. A shooting slump is the Dirk stopper and once he gets out of it than Miami is in trouble.

But I think James Posey has done an excellent job on Dirk in this series. Don't forget about him.
The Heat played a great game two days ago. They came out strong and D-Wade came out with most of the teams points in the beginning. I was impressed.
Some points of observation:-Miami is not playing great defense on Dirk. He is simply playing horribly. Just last game he missed countless shots that he normally makes. Is it nerves? Is it simply a confidence factor? No one knows right now, but he needs to get back on track- I don't know how Dwayne Wade does it. Yes his jumpshot has improved as the playoffs have went by, but I still don't know how he does it. I've never seen a player rely on attacking the rim so much, yet still be unstopable. Iverson attacked the rim, and shot pull-up jumpers from 10. DWade atacks the rim for layups ladies and gentlemen. Layups!!This has been an inconsistent series, and as a fan, I want to see some closer games!

Everyone keeps saying that its the opponents missing shots more than Miamis defense. I wont belive that for 4 straight series, Miamis opponents all of a sudden forget how to shoot the ball.Maybe its time to give some credit.
Obviously Dirk's poor performances are not solely because of Miami's defense, and obviously his poor performance is not solely due to Dirk all of a sudden forgetting how to shoot. There is a middle ground. Posey and Haslem have been playing Dirk physically these past two games, and Dirk has suddenly reverted to the Dirk of last season... standing out at the perimeter instead of attacking the rim.
I do think that Miami's defense has done a great job. They have some good defenders and a good coach. They planned well for Dirk. I'd say part of this is because of Dirk struggling, but he isn't a big time choker so Miami is doing something right. I still expect a big game from Dirk soon, it NEEDS to be tommorow.

Dirk is missing shots he would normally make, it's not like their defense is denying him the shots. He just can't make them.As rok said, he's going back to passive dirk.
I really think the Heat's tempo will carry onto this game 5 tonight. So I see the Heat winning it tonight and a close game in Miami. I am going with Miami in 6 though.
Your picking Miami to win 4 strait games? No way...even IF the Heat win tonight...what have they shown you that makes you think they can even sniff a win IN Dallas. All the Heat, and Mavs, have done so far, is to hold serve...and the pressure is still on the Heat to win tonight...I don't think anyone can think they'll win both games in Dallas...much less one.
Dirk's key to success:He has to be very agressive and knock some heads. He can't be nervous, he needs to calm down.He can't 2nd guess himself, he seems very apprehensive, he just needs to go out and do it - if you miss, than oh well - keep shooting the ball.If Dirk and Jhow have a good night the mavs win it.

He usually takes one guy out of his comfort zone when he draws a game plan for a series. In round 1, he made Gordon a target. In round 2, he made Richard Jefferson a target. In round 3, he made Billups a target. In the finals, he has made Howard a target.
wow - the heat announcer has to be the WORST announcer in the NBAwtf isUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDOOOOOOOOONIISSHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSLEEEE EEMMMMMMMand ANTOINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEW (grunt) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLKKKERRRRRRRgayest announcer ever.

But yeah, it does get pretty anoying.
lol thats because I typed it while i was listening to the heat intros.wow the mavs have to do a better job of defending the perimeter - i know its hard because they're trying to double team shaq - but you cant leave antoine walker or williams open - they wil hit their open shots 50% of the time.
Time for Dirk to crush those naysayers who say he can't score on Miami and flick them aside by winning Game 5.(was looking for an excuse to post that gif)
Man right now how the mavs are palying -they need to keep doin that.they're forcing the ball out of wades hands, they're being very agressive, and they're getting rebounds - oh and dirk is scoringif they continue this - it'll be a mavs win.
hahah BALL DONT LIE REFS!when harris got down there and basically got tackled = no fouldwhen anderson got blocked = foul BS!
Harris has gotten raped a few times, and no call. Then they T-Up Avery...Hell I woulda been ejected if I were the coach thats BS..Once Shaq turns his body around to shoot, the Mavs wrap there arms around him..lol its hilarious, thats the only way to defend him.
