I didn't mean "take that" as in anger issues and fights and whatnot...and I am not putting down Shaq's dunk BUT what I AM saying is that Bynum reacted..he got dunked on and he didn't like it..as a rookie..he didn't just put his head down and let it pass....he DEMANDED the ball and he went RIGHT BACK at Shaq...that is the compeititiveness that I like to see...that is all

Just got back from the game, like I said, I GUARANTEED A LAKER VICTORY.

What a game, BOO'd SHAQ ALL GAME LONG, made him miss almost all his free throws!!!

I swear I think I heard the guys from this forum who said they were going as a group, they got the MVP chant and I joined and so did my brother, it was great.

Kobe has proved yet again why he is the best and the MVP, great games from Lamar, Devean George, and everyone.

And, last but CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, ANDREW BYNUM -- YOU ARE THE MAN!!! He got a standing ovation when he came in the game (Ronny Turiaf got a very very nice applause from the crowd when they showed him on the screen, I was glad to see that)

But that dunk Bynum did on Shaq after SHaq made him his b!tch, WAS AMAZING. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE was on their feet.

I'll tell you one thing, if Shaq doesn't get suspended one game ATLEAST, that's B*LLSH!T! He did almost the same move Kobe did and only got a technical, they better review that later.

Taunting a player is different, GARY PAYTON does it every single game, it should have been a technical on Shaq and he should got ejected.

All in All, great game, ANUBIS I owe you bro! Thanks for making me buy tickets, got my money's worth.....and actually, I made money on the game too, lol, $1200 profit on a 3 team parlay. I told you, Lakers were gonna win.

OH YA, Kobe and SHaq shaking hands at the beginning was AWESOME!! It was so great to see, and ironically, did anyone else notice, it was KOBE who was splitting up Bynum and Shaq, I thought that was great.

I love the way the team came out last night and took control of this game early. Lamar Odom was accurate and on fire from the perimeter, Mihm was aggressive in the post, a little too, aggressive on a few dunks he missed, but effective. Devean George made a serious impact on the game off the bench. Not only were his points needed, but also the defensive play where he swatted Zo from behind.

Then of course there was the Andrew Bynum play of the night. When Shaq dunked over him I felt bad for him, but then he demanded the ball and shook Shaq out of his shoes with that nice spin move and strong finish. Bynum didn't just throw that elbow at Shaq to be a punk. He did that after Shaq gave him one on the previous play along with some words. However, the second elbow by Shaq to the face was pretty bad, but I don't blame him for throwing it.

I loved hearing Staples boo Shaq and praise Kobe with the M-V-P chants. I think it helped carry the team and gave them the confidence to win down the stretch after blowing a 19 point lead.

I'm just glad the tide is turning for the perception of Kobe and people are starting to take notice at how great he is.

I was also happy to see Shaq and Kobe squash their beef and try to re-establish their relationship on and off the court. I don't think the rift is fully healed yet, but yesterday was a big step forward. If anyday was the right day for it, MLK day was definitely fitting.

K8B your streak of wins and game previews continue!

Just to add, Shaq O'neal better get at least 2 games for his elbow to Bynum. The NBA suspended Kobe for retaliating, so Shaq deserves the same.

I just hope the Bynum highlight is enough to get him into the All-Star Rookie Game this year.

    Couple things:

Kudos to Shaq-Kobe on settling their differences, and I like how Shaq, the guy who left, wanted just to end it like he said, in the spirit of MLK day.

Why exactly did Shaq give Bynum the elbow? I know Bynum gave him the move prior, but were words exchanged or something?

It was just a sequence of events leading up to it.

Shaq dunked on Bynum and then slapped him across the face with his off-arm sending Bynum to the ground. I'm sure words were exchanged.

Bynum got up and was pissed. He sprinted down the court got position and demanded the ball. Then he did a spin move on Shaq and flushed it.

Bynum then went nuts with his emotions and sprinted down the other end and bumped Shaq. After that Shaq grabbed him and delivered an elbow of his own.

"He banged me, I thought it was a foul," Bynum said. "He kind of pogo-sticked on me. It was really a little embarrassing, a little ugly, so I just had to go back at him…. I'm growing. I played against one of my favorite players, and I had to go back at him."
