<div class="quote_poster">Quoting DMiles4MVP:</div><div class="quote_post">not really, when ur in the Eastern Conference you dont have to play the West teams but half the times a western team does, so if u put Portland in the East and let them play all the Atlantic Division teams 4 times a piece, they would be like 15 games over .500, lmao

    learn your basketball kid.</div>

Learn my basketball? please...I have forgotten more about basketball than you even know. You keep coming up with the label "kid" when I'm not one and you certainly are and an immature one at that.

The real question was not who was better but calling a team a joke for what they have done this season shows complete arrogance on your part. To start 0-7 and not only get homecourt but advance to the 2nd round shows the guts of that team, I don't think anyone with common sense would take the Portland roster over the up and coming Miami team.

if you think the Heat are going anywhere with Blazer reject Brian Grant @ center, then you are sadly mistaken.

Zach Randolph > any player on the Heat, i think he proved that when they met this season.

And the Blazers are gonna improve the two guard spot and be a great team next year, trust me.

    </div>

Calling someone a "kid" and says "kthxbye"... All my friends used to say that when I was in 9th grade. Beating Miami twice in the regular season doesn't mean anything. Miami is in the 2nd round, and the Blazers didn't even make the playoffs, simple as that. I think the Blazers will be back in the playoffs next year but for now just sit back and enjoy watching the Heat, because you won't be watching another Blazer game for a while.

well you wont get to enjoy another playoff win this season, so who cares? sit back and watch your team get beat by 10-15 pts a game for the next 4 [IMG]

The Lakers won't win another game but will be beat by 10-15 points in the next 4 games? Wow you are bright... if we don't win another game there will only be 2 games left genius..

oh i figured you were a bandwagon Heat fan as well, since your defending them so bad, thats who i was talking too, but since your a Lakers fan, just enjoy this beating the Spurs are giving you, and enjoy the next 7 years as a non-playoff team, because Kobe/Phil/GP are all leaving, and Malone is retiring. sucks huh?

^ actually I'm not much of a Heat fan at all buddy. I just like Dwyane Wade a lot and have an avatar of him.

Heat have dare I say the most future out of any of the east, Wade is a future all-star..kid can do it all. Caron Butler after his injury has looked much better and had a great rookie season. Great swingmen, can rebound the ball like crazy. All Miami are missing are a good center. The young guy Haslam has a good future as well, soild forward who can D up.

I would take Wade over Randolph every day of the week and I'm sure most others would too. Randolph is a good stats guy but not someone who can lead a team deep into the playoffs or even in the playoffs. Kind of like Elton Brand, kid would be a good 2nd option to a superstar swingman but thats about it.

Wade is going to be an all-star and most likely become a 25, 5 and 5 kind of player in a few years time.

Blazers likely won't improve the SG spot well enough to compete next year, I will be highly surprised If they even make the post season next season.

lol @ the Heat having the best future in the East, thats a joke, i would go with the Cavs easily. Lebron will turn into a top 10 player next year, if he isnt already and they have nice role players and a good draft pick to fill some holes.

you can hate on the Blazers all you want, but until the Heat can beat them, whats ur point? they are NOT better than Portland, u get it? lol

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">lol @ the Heat having the best future in the East, thats a joke</div>

Is it really a joke? Is it because they have 3 future All-Stars, Dwyane Wade, Lamar Odom, and Caron Butler, who are all under the age of 25? Or maybe it's because they came from 0-7, and finished the year with a 42-33 record, with a respectable 12-16 record against the West? Yeah, that is a "joke"

Plus, one player does not give a team the best future. As you may notice, you need more than one good player to win a championship. So your point that the Cavs having the best future should be thrown out the window now. Sure he is incredible, but not 'win a championship all by himself' good.

The fact that your UserName is DMiles4MVP, is a "joke", a big joke too. You are just an immature fanboy, who cannot accept the fact that his team is not that good. The Blazers will be a top 5 team next year? Oh, right. They are going to go from a non playoff team, to a top 5 team? Sure...dream on.

Your knowledge is worryingly bad, once again you can't make statements as "untill they beat you" you only make those kind of statements in playoff series.

Cavs have a bright future with Lebron and they have Boozer but big Z is aging and CB is a FA next year I believe so It could be gone If something isn't worked out. Fact is the Heat have two young studs in their ranks, that will take them far.

No one is hating on the Blazers, they just aren't a great basketball team. If you took off those homer glasses you would know that.

Many teams can make that statement, just like Miami can say they are one center away from being a great team. Same goes for Boston e.t.c

The Blazers Are A Very Good Team And Solid At Every Position, Way Better Than The Heat, Infact No Heat Player At His Position Can Match Up With Any Of The Blazers Players.

You must be brothers, the posts keep on getting worse and worse. Blazers have a soild team that can compete but still isn't good enough to be considered "very good"

Their go to guy can't pass out of double teams, is a terrible defender that can not block shots and likely never will. Heat are better than Portland at nearly every spot on the court but the center spot where Theo Ratliff is obviously a much better player than Brian Grant.

I talk like a kid? no I talk like an expert which is exactly what I am. And yes Wade is a future all-star, only a stupid person would disagree. I'm guessing you think people who work for ESPN, NBA.com, CNN, Foxsports are also "kids" too huh? I should of expected you to pop in with some comments that make no sense after reading your replies in the Pacers/Heat preview thread.

Dwayne Wade is better than Damon
Eddie Jones is better than DA
Caron Butler is better or on the same level as Miles, better defender and has more range.
Lamar Odom is just as good as Randolph
Brian Grant isn't as good as Ratliff, Ratliff is better.

Wrong statement there, he's right, about everyone thinks and agree's that Wade is a future All-Star, if you don't see that then I don't understand.

The Heat and the Wizards are probably the teams in the East with the most potential with Cleveland coming after them.

Portland, sorry but will not be a top 5 team, not to take anything away from them but Randolph and Miles are the two young up and coming guys. Damon isn't a guy you can base your future on, and neither is DA or any other person on the roster.
Randolph still needs to learn how to play D and be less selfish, and Miles can improve but how much can he improve, he needs a lot of work to become a big impact player. The Blazers can be a contender but not top 5, to be top 5 then need some young guys at the 2 and 3 who will develop into start. Randolph is not Timmy or KG, he likely won't be but he can be the next step to that, the only problem is still his defense, if that can materialize.

The Heat have Wade, Odom and Butler, Jones isn't a long term plan guy but he's much more servicable at the 2 than DA because he's a good defender and can shoot. The Heat also have Haslem, Alston and Rasual Butler on the bench. With a good center they can be a better team, not top 5, but in a few years you can expect that.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting throwback:</div><div class="quote_post">maybe they will give the next a run for atlantic div. champs next yr and possibly being 4th best team in the east. </div>

The Heat will be in the new SouthEast Division next year, not the Atlantic Division. Our only competition will be the Hawks, Magic, Wizards, and Bobcats... it will be the worst division in the entire NBA so we're pretty much guaranteed to win the SouthEast Division next year.

FYI, the Hornets are moving to the western conference next year, so that basically means they're guranteed to be in the lottery for many years to come [IMG]. Good riddance.

lol ^, its not bashing, its stating the obvious.

The Indiana Pacers played horrible last night and still won easily, whats that say? it says the Heat were lucky to have made it this far, if the Hornets were anywhere close to being healthy they would've won in 5 over the Heat, so just be glad injuries happen, and hope J.O. gets hurt so the Heat can at least win 1 game this series.

But hey your in the southeast division next year like you stated, so at least you can win that division...... i hope.
