If Dame ever demands a trade I'd send him to the Bucks reuniting him with old teammates and Terry Stotts as well as Giannis who drafted him number 1 for the allstar game last season.
and they're off!....another dipshit tweet with no foundation of common sense gets the excitable masses running in circles
I'm working on a conspiracy theory that goes something like: Joe Cronin is actually the one behind all of these absolutely bullshit rumors going through nobody "sources". Knowing the more knowledgeable and reliable ones would shoot them down and inevitably reach the same "Melo in NY" talking point that we really want Dame embracing...
I just hope Cronin doesn't take back less in a trade because it's the #1 team where Dame wants to go. Get the best trade assets in return, period. If Dame lost his leg tomorrow he'd still get that 200 million in future checks from the Blazers. Thus is the flip side, if he requests a trade we send him to the best trade offer for Portland, not the best trade for Dames new team.
I believe that you believe that if you post “ZERO” chance in all caps we believe that you know what you’re talking about. I can’t speak for others, but you haven’t sold me yet. Maybe try using it in five or six more threads.
The divide on this board between posters who want to trade Dame and ones who want to build around Dame is pretty petty. For the record I don’t want to trade Dame but if management feels it’s the best and most realistic way to build a real contender one day then I’m ok with it.
Nobody wants to trade Dame in the abstract. He's the best point guard we've ever had. But if the choices are trade away the future for a shot at, at best mediocrity now, or trade Dame, then it's the lesser of two evils.
I think he was traded for nothing cause he had a no trade clause. At that point Was is just lucky to dump the contract. Beal isn’t a 50 mil player.
Based on similar attempts to build contenders out of draft picks, the Blazers may be looking up at mediocrity for a long, long time if they trade Dame and go full-on youth movement.
he was also owed 250 mil and has a no-trade clause effectively allowing him to choose his destination.
if dame ever demands a trade, i would send him to the team that gives me the most back. who the hell cares where he *wants* to go if he decides to go back on his word, and it turns out that all his talk about loyalty was bullshit?
