No. We need both. We can go over cap for Davis. And sign Beasley on the cheap.

It’s not really the money. It’s the role. Beasley is a PF. So where does that leave Collins/Davis?

This is the problem with making any move not involving CJ... doesn’t matter how talented the player is, they will not produce without consistent touches with CJ over dribbling and driving 1 on 3

We let Bazz walk...probably will let Jake and Pat walk....Beasley only made a couple million playin for the Knicks last season...he's value for the money..

We have only 1 1/2 inside players, Ed Davis, and Nurkic, who tries.

We've gone 3 years without a SF. I'd like to have both Davis and Beasley.

But...will Stotts ruin Beasley, so that again, we have no true SF?

Forget Beasley. What we really need is a guy who
    • is a top 3 point shooter
    • plays excellent defense
    • is a really good dribbler
    • can create instant offense
    • is a vet, but young enough to play for us for a long time.
    • when not playing in games, only goes to church, practices, and orphanages.
    • is a romantic who loves the rain.
    • and most importantly, has demonstrated all of these abilities already, yet somehow is willing to take vet min.
Basically, LeBron James with a little more panache.

If we can't find this guy in the next week, then fire Olshey!

No, Beasley is a tweener. Just like Aminu. They throw him to the wolves and make sure he plays with both ed an na Nurk.

Beasley off the bench with Ed would be nice.

It's a well known fact that Lamar Odom smoked before every game.

Who's the last person you heard of getting I'm trouble for it in the NBA? Damon?

I'm not advocating replacing Ed at all. I just want him to have an aggressive front court mate. If we sign Beasley for the min we can still retain Davis.

I'm OK with Beasley as a backup stretch 4. As a 3 in today's game, no way.

I want him to play inside, if he's a stretch 4 I'm not interested

if we could get him for a few mil he'd be a good addition, and perhaps sign the guy whose been playin in Europe as well as he's another good shooter. I mean since we still have Stotts and his system we need SHOOTERS

On not that many attempts. He's a little iso heavy for my liking -- dude likes to dribble dribble dribble shoot a lot. But we might need that off our bench.

That would be so stupid. Ed is the anti-Beasley in that he makes the game easier for everyone else on his team and harder for the other team.
