    Michael Pineda showed he has more than a fastball in the high 90s, an effective slider and a good grasp of the strike zone.

    He also displayed composure beyond his years as the 22-year-old right-hander allowed three hits over seven innings to help the Seattle Mariners break a six-game losing streak with a 5-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Monday night.
