Boy, that was all the rave for a while, wasn't it? Interesting that we don't ever hear about it anymore. Do they even do it anymore? And now that it seems like a passing fad, was it actually experimental when we seemingly abused our best rookie in generations with it? (Not to open an old wound or anything, but summer topics are hard to come by!)
Looks like it's still in practice. https://www.thesteadmanclinic.com/p...chnique#:~:text=Overview,way down to the bone. https://www.caringmedical.com/prolo...lar,functional recovery is not satisfactory.”
Chiat the name of the surgery alone sounds bad, micro-fracture. Like what are they doing, intentionally doing little tiny fractures on their bones or something?
I recall hearing that Roys knee problems carried on past his playing career; not sure how much of that is due to the micro fracture surgery. The recovery from it seems to be pretty low, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not as common.
Didn’t know that, never looked into it. That sounds like a pretty bad idea though at the surface of it, but what do I know I am sure as hell not a doctor.
I asked Sly to delete this thread. Didn't mean to freak you guys out. My bad. But he didn't. So once again its @SlyPokerDog's fault!!!
