    scar tissue?

    you may be right but I thought it was micro-holes in bones that release bone marrow cells intended to rebuild cartilage. Maybe that's the same thing?

    they drilled small holes in my wife's leg bone to regenerate cartilage.

    Roy never had microfracture, so I'd estimate it had 0 impact.
