"are facing what aid groups say is impending famine."

Reporting of future potential events is not facts/journalism. Its op ed.
Also - the underlying fact of the statement is - no famine. 'impending famine' is not actual famine.
    Narrative. Story. Emotions.
    Lets keep going.

I also wonder how come this is a 'gift' article..
Thank you for gifting us all with this biased op ed.

That's not true at all. One of the people they featured, an 18-month-old, is still fucking starving. He also has a medical condition, but he's still fucking starving.

Mohammed, according to his doctor, had pre-existing health problems affecting his brain and his muscle development. But his health deteriorated rapidly in recent months as it became increasingly difficult to find food and medical care, and the medical clinic that treated him said he suffers from severe malnutrition.

“I look at him and I can’t help but cry,” she said.

“We go to bed hungry and wake up thinking only about how to find food,” she added. “I can’t find milk or diapers.”

Mohammed was diagnosed with severe malnutrition by the Friends of the Patient clinic and Al-Rantisi children’s hospital, she said, but there was little they could do. On a recent visit to the clinic, she said, “they told me, ‘His treatment is food and water.’”

The newspaper didn't admit the story was not true. Did you read the correction? The clinic where he was treated at provided additional information about him. It doesn't mean he's still not fucking starving.

Also, that article was just not about that "one boy."

There is a free link for you to read it. Not behind a paywall.

I'll trust the World Health Organization and Associated Press and BBC to give me a clear picture of the Gaza tragedy. I don't believe it's a media conspiracy theory by any stretch of the imagination..two state solution! Stop killing innocent people now. Not a second later. More hate is not going to solve that war. Britain is ready to recognize a Palestinian State and we should as well. So should Israel.

As soon as these assholes do what you want you'll stop torturing and terrorizing these innocent civilians?

    Wow.

Are you suggesting that innocent people in Gaza aren't dying of starvation as a result of Israeli actions?

Who knew Hamas was so powerful? They have fooled every reputable media outlet, medical groups, relief organizations, human rights groups, independent investigators into believing there are people starving in Gaza and situation getting worse. When everyone not stupid dupes knows Gaza is healthy!

Next thing you know Hamas will say Earth is round and stupid dupes like us will believe it!

There have been so many horrible incidents of Trump Gestapo rounding up Green Card holders, parents of citizen children, sick children, people who lived here legally. There was also an unverified and possibly incorrect story about torture survivor deported. If that story is untrue it doesn't mean all the other horrors didn't happen.

But I am one of those stupid dupe self hating Jews who is outraged safety of Jews is being used as excuse for genocide.

Similarly, news outlets reported about a potential tsunami around the Pacific last night.
According to you, since it hadn't happened yet, and might not, they should have put that on the opinion page? Or just not mentioned it at all?

    Exactly.
Report accurately. Potential tsunami is very different than actual tsunami.
The same logic applies about famine.
Everyone here are certain of 'Famine in Gaza'. The truth is - No Famine.
Is there impending famine? Should actions take place? Okay - this can be discussed. But keep true while at it and acnowledge it is not famine. It is defenitly not good conditions and Gaza population shouldnt fight for flour or produce.
Once you go deeper to facts and what is the actual condition in Gaza, you learn that the aid entering Gaza is being kept by Hamas and SOLD exponantialy at higher prices to civilians that can afford it so they (Hamas) can keep their terror state running.
The poor suffer. But not because there is not enough aid entering, but because it is not distributed to them by their Hamas opressors.

I personally think Hamas is at the brink of destruction. Far from being powerful. That is why Al Jazzeera and Qatar funded media outlets (with intrests to perserve the conflict) are chiming in on a campaign of Famine in Gaza. So that the world will focus its gaze on Israel and feel for the Gaza people. The result - Hamas odd of surviving as 'legitimate' ruler increases - rendering the conflict unresolved (They didnt win, Israel didnt win) and now lets go at it again and again in few years time.

You want the conflict to end? Pick a side and commit. You are pro-palestine - no problem. But please dont be surprised once all the jews are ethnicly cleansed from the river to the sea. As this is what the Palestinian people chant and Ideologocally long for.
As an Israeli - sorry but I will resist it. Even of it means to be globally hated for few generations..

Really beginning to resemble antivaxxer. Expert opinion is wrong because it's expert. Random dude on Internet knows better.

I can preety much gurantee you I have higher experties regarding the conflict than you do, the same way I am sure you are far more expert than I with regards to U.S and local politics and culture.

When was the last time you were driving your car and suddently a loud siren sounds and you have to run for the nearest bomb shelter? For me - yesterday. A yemen rocket fired while I was driving back home from work. (Not interesting enough to be reported in mainstream media - too casual these days).
Trust me - I am far more invested and knowledgable in this reality than someone who lives peacfully and quietly at the otherside of the globe.
Not because I want to. Or because others lack intention or motivation to be involved and caring, But because this is life in conflict.
Do you jump when you hear a motorcycle acclerating? I do. Almost all here around me do. It sounds so much like a new siren..
How many people you personally know that have died in a war? How many are living with injuries? PTSD?
Please. Dont confuse me with antivaxxers or Trump blind supporters.

When was the last time you encountered Ideas / views that are similar to mine?
Do you see it all around you or just on these forum pages specifically because of me?
If the latter is true - just keep in mind of the slightest chance of an echo chamber.
Do you have Gazan people talking to you? Do you have iranian people talking to you? Do you have Israeli people talking to you?
Do you expect all of them to provide a concensus view of things or multifaceted aspects?
So.. experts or randoms, at least be able to consider the fact that the things you know/think you know are most likely incomplete. Not due to lack of trying. But due to realities and how the world and infromation flow works.

But you were just criticizing them for reporting potential famine.

If it's wrong to report potential famine because it hasn't happened yet, it must surely be wrong to report a potential tsunami because it hasn't happened yet.

I think it is a well-established scientific fact that if people don't eat, they starve to death, just as it is well-established that undersea earthquakes can cause tsunamis.

    These are good points.
However a counterpoint that you should consider is that the rest of us here aren't anywhere near as emotionally invested in the outcome as you are.
And emotion isn't highly compatible with reason.
