Nuclear and renewables (also geothermal) are the only ways to crack that nut... I'm all for it.

yep, and China wouldn't want to see that happen. Get China to put pressure on the religious leadership to stop funding terrorist, or at some point their oil fields could be taken out, which would hurt China as they import most their oil from them.

Just watched a video of a Hamas motar crew firing shells at IDF soldiers. The entire crew was wearing civilian clothes. They looked very much like Palestinian civilians. They were not wearing anything that would identify them as combatants, let alone a member of Hamas.

    Yes. That's how terrorists roll.

Attacking all civilians in an effort to kill the .001% who actually are terrorists is an incredibly stupid and ineffective strategy. It's pretty much exactly what the terrorists hope Israel will do.

Germany and Japan the had shit bombed out of them in order to defeat tyranny. Then we helped rebuild the countries into what they are today. Once Gaza is rid of the terrorist that overran their government with no other vote since then, only then Palestinian people can take back their State and the rebuild will begin. They dont want to be ruled by an organization/Hamas that doesn't believe Israel has a right to exist and all Jews must die, bull shit.

22 House Dems Join GOP in Voting to Censure Tlaib, Only Palestinian-American in Congress

"Congresswoman Tlaib's moral courage will never be extinguishable, but these 22 Democrats' cowardice, bigotry, and fanaticism will be the only thing the American people ever remember of them," said Justice Democrats.

    https://www.commondreams.org/news/tlaib-censure-vote

Our own government isn't even democratic. Speak your own mind and get censured.

It's pretty clear neither party gives a crap about democracy. You either tow the party line, or your party will disown you.

    From the Java online documentation:

Within an instance method or a constructor, this is a reference to the current object — the object whose method or constructor is being called. You can refer to any member of the current object from within an instance method or a constructor by using this.

The this keyword refers to the current object in a method or constructor.

The most common use of the this keyword is to eliminate the confusion between class attributes and parameters with the same name (because a class attribute is shadowed by a method or constructor parameter). If you omit the keyword in the example above, the output would be "0" instead of "5".

this can also be used to:

    • Invoke current class constructor
    • Invoke current class method
    • Return the current class object
    • Pass an argument in the method call
    • Pass an argument in the constructor call

America is a one party system but in typical American extravagance we have two of them.

It would be really helpful if Israel didn't prop Hamas up year after year to dissuade from a possible 2 state solution. That would be great.

Hamas leadership is in Qatar. Is Israel going after them there? Of course not. They need Hamas like Republicans need homosexuals. Makes for great rhetoric and finger pointing.

Netanyahu should probably resign, but he never will. Heard reports that he's visited ceremonies for soldiers that have died, but none of the civilians that passed when Hamas attacked last month. I wonder how those attacks would have gone had he not been elected last year. I'm not very knowledgeable with Israeli politics, but he seems to be failing..

Netanyahu has repeatedly reappeared in Israel because he ran as a conservative combatant and every-time Hamas broke a ceasefire - he would be propped up as someone that sold the idea that he handle them and security and the others could not.

I would argue that Netanyahu has been in power so often despite the fact that he has lost the elections so many times is, to a large degree because of Hamas ongoing terror campaign.

Maybe the latest intelligence debacle will finally dislodge him from power going forward, who knows.

As I said, I work with some people from there and they at least do not think highly of him. I believe many believe he is a smarter version of Trump, power hungry populist. The fact that Israel had so many elections in the last couple of years (4 or 5 times, which is absurd) shows that there is a big divide that he managed to put into the population, mostly under the security premise. Maybe once that war is over his on again off again campaign will come to a stop - because at least from what I read, he is very unpopular there now.

Seemed to me to be the case when I visited 6 months ago. Definitely got the "Netanyahu is a warmonger" vibe from several people.

Im hopeful once Hamas is eliminated in Gaza that the Abraham Accord proceed ahead. It's in everyone's best interest for a two state solution with a positive future. But Iran will try and disrupt any peace agreement/and acknowledgment of Israel's right to exist. The last thing Iran wants is for any Arab nation agreeing to Israels right to exist.

Starting at about the same time hostages were being released, there was a large spike in attacks against US military in mid-east.

Iran backed Yemen rebels launched 40 drones and 20 rockets at one of our aircraft carriers. All destroyed with no damage to US ships.

Increase in attacks against US base in Syria. Early reports of multiple larger US airstrikes against the Iran backed terrorists.

    Iran does not want peace.
