I am. You can walk to Winco from my house. It will take a good amount of time but you can do it. Pushing a stolen shopping cart uphill would suck.

You did know I was making fun of Bloomberg right?

The property my grandfathers garden was on is still in the family. I was going to see who wanted to get it going again in Ridgefield as long as you shared with my grandma.

I think her land is only a couple of acres but his garden fed our entire extended family with stuff to spare.

Thank you for this thread! This is the third summer I’ve had my house and every year I tell myself I’m gonna start a garden..then next thing I know it’s too late. Really no excuses this year, I have plenty of time! Anyone grow chili peppers? Scotch bonnet, jalapeño, anything?

Partly fenced. It would probably need to be redone. Behind where the barn and garden used to be we had cows. The barn was leveled 15 years ago or more. Next to the barn was the garden. I'd say it was 40-60 feet wide by maybe 100 feet long. Damn I miss the corn on the cob he grew. And the green beans. Mmmmmmmmm

Unfortunately the other side of the family sold 125 acres of dairy farm that is now having homes built on it. For Californians...ewwwwwwww!!!

This is what kills me. If the timing was right it could have been 125 acres of weed and I'd be retired.

That's not too big. Still small enough that nobody ever forgot what dumb shit you did in school. Remember a scene on The Simpsons where Bart saw Ralph Wiggum snap for some reason right in class?

I saw a kid snap in kindergarten. The poor thing went 2 in his pants and the teacher changed him into a diaper and made him finish the day in a diaper and a t shirt.

That kid was fucked up from day one. We even made peanut butter in that class. Nobody was allergic to PB then as far as anyone knew.

    Today you'd kill 3 kids.

And no it wasn't me. I didn't do that until I was 20 something. It was traumatic then too.

Test grew a few pepper plants last year. They turned out well, and we are @ 3,000' elevation.

Planting more peppers this season, seeds are germinating now.

Picking the type/s of peppers to grow can be fun. There are about 50,000 types.
