Lol I don't get you. I mean Thibs is a great coach, you'd expect the FO to have some faith in his decision making.
From what I've read, Noah's got this pretty balanced. He understands that the minutes restriction is there to protect him, but he's frustrated when that restriction keeps him from finishing games. You got something more?
Asked if it was a bigger challenge mentally or physically, Noah said: I'm tired, Pretty tired… It's definitely physical...definitely both. It's not really right after the game, but the next morning is the roughest. We have a great coach, but he doesn't understand the whole resting [thing] yet, I don't think. So...it's all good. We all want to win. So, it's good. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...lessons-from-chicago-bulls-up-and-down-season
Bulls' Joakim Noah understands minutes restriction but wants to close games - K.C. Johnson in today's Trib
So they're both upset about the minutes restriction, like I said. I think Noah isn't finishing games because Gasol and Mirotic or Taj are the better tandem to finish games. Noah's minutes have declined the past three seasons. Where's the beef? We are 3-6 the last 9 games playing management's way. Ain't it grand?
Meanwhile, sources tell 670 The Score that Pau Gasol is also concerned about what is being asked of him physically, and that he and Thibodeau didn’t make it through the preseason without some conflicting understanding of Gasol’s usage in gamesand expectations for practice. The veteran center is 34, has a history of foot injuries and came to Chicago with an idea of how he’d be handled. “We will act accordingly and adjust to differing scenarios and situations of the team,” Gasol told the Boers and Bernstein Show in July. “Hopefully I won’t need to play over 35 minutes a game for us to win ballgames, and I think we have enough depth and quality for me not to be in that position.” http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2014/11/01/bernstein-thibodeau-already-pushing-too-hard/
LOL, I'm sure you knew that as soon as you posted that, the goalposts were certain to move away from "He understands the restriction" is not something I've seen.
That quote was today. I said I hadn't seen he said anything yesterday. You think I'm supposed to see this in a crystal ball or something?
The 2012-13 season was too long ago. Today was too recent. I'll see if I can find any quotes that occured between November 17, 2014 at 6:39 AM and February 24, 2015 at 9:07 AM.
And I was supposed to have read it how many seconds after it was posted? 2013, Noah played MANY games @40+ minutes. 26 times, in fact. Last season 11 times. Either figure is less than Duncan or Garnett played at Noah's age. Looks like Thibs has been resting him more and more. I ask again, where's the beef? Only Noah, who wants to play.
